How do you feel about blush on ponies?

I've always quite liked the blush on G1 ponies.  But I like freckles even better, and I see I am not alone in that.

Over the last weeks I've been scrubbing up a bunch of ponies I bought from a few people here and lots of eBay lots...my sudden new collection!  One 4-pony lot was saturated with stale cigarette smoke smell and another 7-pony lot had been chewed up by rats and many others were simply dirty and  neglected....I did nothing all last weekend but scrub ponies in a huge marathon of soaking in bleach, scrubbing with Ajax and a toothbrush, combing in hair conditioner and using curlers...anyway I think the only freckle pony I cleaned was Applejack and yes I love her freckles but with so much time closely handling more than 50 ponies I have formed an opinion on this issue: 

I really, really love the blush on G1s!  It's just so great!

I agree with most people. I think the blush is so sweet.

However, it's one of the things i'm not super picky about on my ponies. If she is in great condition with some blush rubs I still classify her as pretty minty.  Although I agree with Taffeta about it looking sad on white ponies...

Rubbed blush looks a bit sad, especially on white ponies, but I never really thought about it as odd.

I never realized no other generations have blush! Personally I love it. It adds some life to their faces. I wonder if that's why G1 ponies seem prettier to me than other gens.

I do not like the blush at all, but it's a small enough detail that I can not notice it.
