Color variation on the EQ dolls: Trixie Lulamoon
« on: July 14, 2014, 06:35:35 PM »
SO....I bought the Trixie EQ Rainbow Rocks doll from Target for 8.99 (yes, you read that correctly.  It's on clearance now, where I live!) and I noticed, out of the 5 dolls left, that one has considerably lighter hair than the others.  and also, the cutie mark around her eye is slightly different.  I thought it was interesting so I wanted to share.  The only difference in the CM is the wand stem is behind the blue swirl, instead of in front of it like the others.  Also, the hair extension is a considerably darker blue and pink.  Anyone else seen this?

Ffff she's $9 now!? I uhmed and aahed over her $15 liquidation price when I was there but eventually passed up on her  Why can't the stores here have such low clearance prices?

That variation is pretty funky. I've seen it on other dolls - The deluxe Fluttershy has a bright pink/salmon version, and one with darker pink hair. It looks like in this case the variant has been haired entirely in the lighter tone of Trixie's hair maybe?
Idly searching for: loose, good condition G4 Blossomforth, Starbeam Twinkle, Plumsweet. TTM Celestia doll's wings Within UK or EU only, please.
Will also take in Pretty Pony Club (UK magazine) fakies.

LOL yes she is.  I'd grab you one but it would be too expensive to ship it I'm afraid.  :(

Oh,thats neat that the other dolls can be like that too.   I admit I did look at the other dolls there but after a quick look, didn't see any variance.  This one still has coloured stripes but the main blue is all the lighter colour.  I like it.

Mine is the lighter haired one, and I assume that's the more normal one, as the pony version has the exact same hair color, do it'd be silly to assume one is a variation without knowing which one was more common in the first place, or if it was equal.
When the Equestria Girls dolls show up in stores and you end up with unneeded doubles, PM me! I'll buy them!/i]

Most of the items in the G4 line come with some distinct variety from batch to batch - accessory colours, hair colours. :) Its pretty standard for mass production - they just dont expect our collectors eyes to be going over them in detail :P

Cool find! And awesome price. Congrats on having both of them.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
