Title: Ebay customer service is AWFUL also my seller has no contact

 :mad: >_<  im so mad right now i have been trying to get ahold of ebays customer support service.   and after speaking with a guy he kept putting me on hold   then after an HOUR AND A HALF.  i kid not  -_-  they HUNG up on me.  **&^@&@(@(@&@!)!)       i was fuming.   and my other attempts have not found a solution either! 

basically i won an auction (non pony)  and i paid on the 18th, had communication with the seller and now they have dropped off the planet.   and my transaction is still "processing" in paypal. what the heck?     the ebay customer service rep (before he rudely put me on hold for over an hour then hung up on me) said it may be that the email in their paypal account might be wrong or its on hold/freeze.  also the last thing i got from him was that "hold on there is something going on with this sellers account"    then  nadda....

the seller was suspicious to begin with in her messages.  but now im just convinced  something is up.   

how do i cancel this transaction!?   i dont want that charge to just randomly go through and me have no recourse.  and since ebay hasnt registered me as "paying" for my item.  all it does is take me in circles having to contact the seller.   whom isnt responding so i cant open a case!   they need a non selling seller button i swear...  :cry:  sadly i really wanted the item too.

Yes, their customer service is the absolute worst.  :mad:

If I was you I would phone Paypal.  They will be able to tell you exactly what is going on.  I would imagine they will also be able to tell you how to cancel payment.

And as far as ebay goes if that payment does happen to go through you can always file a claim for "item not received".  I know it's a huge pain the hoops you have to go through but you will still have some recourse on getting your funds back.

Don't know if this is what is happening but if a payment goes out to the wrong email its basically in limbo, but paypal will fix that as it happened to me once.  My money was unclaimed due to the wrong email addy and at a certain point it was refunded back to me.  Sometimes people change their email and forget to upgrade it with paypal.  I agree that paypal is the one to call.

Ok, here is what I've noticed with Ebay.

Step 1 - Puts you on hold.
Step 2 - Hangs up on you.

I'm starting to think it's a tactic. I'm not joking.

Anyways, yeah it sounds like maybe the seller is in the process of being banned? Sorry, that's the only thing I can think of.

Yes, like Tula said, it happened to me too, the payment was frozen due to wrong address and I contacted Paypal and at some point I got my money back

Is it no longer possible to report non-selling sellers..? I just saw someone else complain about the same thing.
I'm pretty sure it used to be possible, as in just checking a box with that problem described, out of a list of problems.... so have they changed that?   :|

9__9* Oh I agree, ebay customer service is terrible. I'm pretty sure that their customer support just tries to make you jump thru hoops until you give up.

Paypal on the otherhand... I've had much better support with, but that might be because I was calling about my PP credit card and not my actual account?

I'm sorry to hear this BLS :hug:  I dont know how some of these ebay reps keep their job *sigh* :(  I  agree with Ponyladys advice here - phone Paypal instead - they are normally better to deal with

my guess is that the seller needs to claim the payment. Go into your paypal and find the transaction. It should say if it needs to be claimed or not.

 :mad: Sounds really weird, guess you should call paypal, eBay customer service is absolutely the pits currently. This week, my daughter & I were printing a fed-ex label out on eBay because previously paypal shipping did not do fed-ex shipping. Across the screen it stated  they would" bill your monthly statement" for the fed-ex label as of course they haven't released my funds. Later on checking the status of a stupid e-check they did for a payment we refunded because it was done for a non eBay item as personal which won't allow label printing we noticed that eBay had billed my daughter's bank account for the label, what's more paypal had to violate their oath that they do not give out your payment info(yes I know eBay went & bought paypal years ago) because eBay doesn't have my daughter's bank info! She phoned them to tell them they had commited fraud & this idiot person kept putting her on hold twice for over a half hour total on my cell phone only to tell her gee whiz she could void the label & she'd get a refund in 21 days. She told them gee she didn't think paypal was going to wait that long for the e-check which idk why they did it as an e-check. She also told them they had commited fraud. WE're trying to find an attorney to sue paypal for revealing her payment info to eBay. We had to refund the other non eBay personal payment directly just by sending it to the person's e-mail because of them taking the money for the shipping label out of her bank though the label page stated they would bill her monthly statement. Sheesh  where do they get these people. Today she got a customer service survey & don't think she didn't let them have it. If they get enough complaints about customer service maybe they will have to class up . Anybody in Georgia who has a like experience make a complaint to Clark Howard, he did a thing on Dell customer service on his radio show once because he had multiple complaints about them.
Problem is I had stuff on Bonanza  & only sold two items.Like it for buying, hate it for selling.

Ugh - I am so sorry to her this! It seems like there are continually more issues with eBay seller these day and few at eBay corporate who are able/willing to help! I'm sorry that you've had to deal with this.

I hope things have been resolved, dear, or at least in process.

I had a dissappearing seller case once, but I didn't call anywhere because they didin't claim the payment. It was automatically returned to me in a couple of weeks. So you can call if you want to, or just wait. Paypal is nice like that.

they never responded, i got my money back and left negative feedback. as i could see they were still buying things and getting feedback but couldnt bother to send me  a message.
