I'm glad I'm not the only one this is happening too lol.

What happens if they do not turn up? Both sellers did send the items, but if I never receive them how does a refund work *stressed*

Trader & Shipping Support / Package says "Delivered" but no sign. Help!
« on: September 07, 2017, 10:48:45 AM »
In the last 2 months I have now had three instances where I've had a package marked as "Delivered, left with individual" but it is no where to be found.

Has anyone else had this happen? The first was in August with a non-pony ebay lot. I had to open a missing mail case and then after about a week it magically appeared in my mailbox.

The other two cases are from this week alone. One on Monday and one on Tuesday.

I work in a large building but our business has a mailbox where the postman always would leave packages. I haven't had any problems with packages that include our mailbox number. Both sellers confirmed that they included the suite # so I'm not sure what to do.

I've opened two more missing mail cases.

I also spoke with my mail carrier, and she got very defensive and said that if it said delivered than she delivered it, and even looked in my postal box as if I was lying. She suggested I do a "hold mail" until they I guess fix it? But I cannot hold the mail for my whole business. She also told me she was tired of tracking down peoples packages so I should just have them put a tracer on it.
I'm now very worried to have anything shipped here now, why have things changed lol.

Any advice, or has anything similar happened to others?

The only thing I can think of is (correct me if I'm wrong), but I think that ebay sellers get dinged if an item takes longer to be marked "shipped" than the standard handling time. I think it may contribute to their rating and if they're store is performing above average or not.

That being said, I am very very surprised that someone would be unsympathetic to the fact that parts of Texas are going through h*** right now! It's all over the news, so I would be just as frustrated and upset as you are. Especially because you communicated to them up front about the weather conditions. You have also paid, so it is not like they're holding unclaimed items :(

I would wait to contact them again until you think you can have the items shipped- unless they contact you first. She has said she will hold them at least.

Pony Corral / Re: Funny or awful ways your ponies have been shipped

I think I've seen my fair share of cereal boxes and lots of walmart bags as packing materials. Not pony, but I did have a white plastic item wrapped in newspaper (very unhappy).

I've also had so many that were packing taped around bubble wrap so much that I was worried I would cut my ponies hair off

I second what everyone else has said, I would file a claim with your local post office. Since you know the item arrived safely from ebay, it is no longer their fault. And I think also having it sent further/ a second time may have nulled that (but not totally sure). Either way its too bad that the post decided to handle it so poorly :(

Off Topic / Re: Cartoons with Lineless Art/Animation?
« on: August 14, 2017, 12:48:37 PM »
I cant think of many cartoons, but for movies most of the ones by the studio who did Song of the Sea (Book of Kells too)

And then I guess many Anime series have characters without outlines/line art, but I'm not sure its considered to be the same genre :)

I think the reason for linework vs non-line work, is maybe it helps distinguish the characters from the backgrounds in traditional animation. But I'm not sure why there isn't more of it out there

I did LOL about the bush being literate and signing for your packages

Even in the US the postal service is extremely frustrating sometimes. I cannot tell you how many times things have gotten rerouted, or gone missing, or been left when they could have just rung the doorbell. And trying to get in to the call center is a complete nightmare ;(

Pony Corral / Re: Pony herds in not a lot of space?
« on: July 25, 2017, 02:43:33 PM »
I have a decent amount of space, but its still small for my collection. One thing I did recently for my G4 ponies was order a nail polish wall rack from ebay. It was around $20, and was able to fit my entire collection! It freed up 2 cube shelves in my shelf, and it is very thin against the wall https://www.instagram.com/p/BVcfAepDSBi/?taken-by=shelvesofwhimsy

I would also recommend those thin picture from shelves from ikea. You could have a number of them around higher in a room and have your ponies stand there :D

I second what others have said about using whatever is laying around as risers :) I've used post office boxes, checks, rement boxes, mac n cheese boxes and some shoe boxes  :P If the pattern is very obvious I just wrap them in computer paper.

I also saw recently that someone I follow bought one of those larger cube shelves from Ikea, and then used it as a room divider! It was cool because the back was full of toy "butts" but it still let some light into the room :)

I just bought the whole set! They are 20% off on TRU right now. So with taxes it was around $52, not bad for 12 ponies!
From what we've seen in the past I was worried some characters would not be released again :(

I'm currently reading Volume 1 of Cardcaptor Sakura :) Right before that it was Kill La Kill Volumes 2 and 3 :D

I was also watching the Sakura anime, but took a break to branch out to learn about a few more shows before I go to Japan  ^.^
