Mine is @cutemakesmehappy ! I already follow you :)

I really enjoy the MLP IG community, and there are so many really great photos being shared of collections. I especially love photos from customizers that show their progress. It's educational and fascinating to see!

Maybe, yeah. They definitely showed him getting goosebumps when he touched his neck! :) I'll have to rewatch the end of S2 again, I thought they showed a shot of his neck showing the black mindflayer "spores" (for a lack of better words), but that could have been in S1, too - my mind has a tendency to mix such things up :(

Off Topic / Re: Your prefered format for listening to music?
« on: July 12, 2019, 02:11:35 AM »
Spotify, and only Spotify. I've had a premium sub for years now, and the only albums I've bought (via iTunes, so digital download) since then have been the Eurovision albums and I only bought them instead of simply listening to them on Spotify, too, because Spotify is not supported by a music game I like to play, while iTunes is.

Some friends are more into the fine details of listening to music, and they have proper stereos and boxes and all that equipment, they prefer vinyl; I only listen to music on my computer, tablet or phone and usually via headphones, so Spotify makes the most sense for me, too.

Looking forward to the listing of the items your aunt has in her collection that you are here to sell, you have come to a great place!

I've finally finished the season last night too, and I loved it! Now I finally know what scene I want to create once my STAJ arrives, hehe

Dustin is a King Geek so of course he is well versed in the MLP universe. I'm really glad that Suzie is real, their interaction was the cutest! I loved pretty much everything about the season, the only thing that left me a bit "meh" was that it feels as if Will basically had the same two lines the whole season (kind of Jon Snow 'I dun wun it' vibe), and that no one cared that he obviously still has a bit of the mind flayer in him, at least he always touched his neck - what about that, really? Is he like a sleeper agent now?

As for Hopper, I'm 100% team 'Hopper is the American'. What striked me as odd was when we saw the US military entering the Russian base, there were NO Russians there anymore at all. None! They were all gone! Sure, yeah, those around the machine seemed to have been pulverized, but where were all those other Russian military dudes? The place was swarming with them when the gang infiltrated it, but no one was left. So I think they must have had some kind of secret escape way, and they took Hopper with them. I guess we will find out in the last season!

I also enjoyed how well acted everything was. Billy always stayed Billy... in his eyes. Joyce was just perfect, so very, very believable. El is always leaving me in awe, such a young actress can play such a unique character so well! And the actor of Jonathan does a great job portraying how broken and hurt he is, you just need to take one look at him and you can see it. Last season, they had an extra show called Beyond Stranger Things that had interviews with the actors and it was surreal to see the actor out of character (AND with a broad British accent lol). Erica was doing an amazing job, too - I usually don't like children that are so know-it-all, but she is know-it-all in a nice way :D One of my alltime favourites is, and will always be, Steve. I hated him with a passion first in S1, so mission accomplished, but his development was so awesome! I really hope the poor guy will win a fight and get the girl next season, haha!

Will probably start a rewatch soon. Not that I didn't already rewatch S1+2 before S3 aired, lol :) Love love love the show!

That's disappointing :(

The regrind is only happening on her head, the body looks great. Maybe I'll find a good head at some point and then I'll just frankenstein my Galaxy!

Nooo  :( thank you guys, I was already suspecting it, but hoped it might be something obscure that can be fixed! Sigh, so this is my second Galaxy now that has serious issues. One day I will find a real upgrade! (Maybe BF releases the TE ponies at some point and they come to EU too :D ).

Pony Corral / Re: is it safe to swim with my pony ?

I always had several of my ponies with me in the bath tub when I was a wee one. From those original childhood ponies I still own today, none has developed any tail rust, and I didn't make sure they were well dried out as a child. I simply poured out the water that got inside of them (I always loosened the heads as a child so that I could make them look into different directions when I played with them), dried them with a towel, and that was it. That said, I don't live in a particularly humid climate, and my bath water did not contain chlorine.

I'm much more careful with my ponies today and wouldn't unnecessarily subject a pony to water like that, but from my childhood experiences I'd guess you can take a pony into the pool with you, but make sure to keep the period in the water short, rinse it well after you are done to remove any chlorine from the pony, and maybe even wash the hair afterwards with a very mild shampoo & condition it; then make sure to dry it thoroughly. Maybe even take a pony where you exchanged the metal washers.

As collectors, we are doing a lot to keep our collection items in the best condition possible, and sometimes go to great length to make sure they are submitted to as few possibly damaging conditions as possible. That's totally fine and in the best interest of keeping the collection safe. However, if it keeps you from enjoying your collection, then I personally think this is going a step too far. A collection should bring the collector joy and entertainment, and how this is achieved is different for everyone. Many people are happy with displaying their items and just looking at them on display. Others take items with them on adventures, which may end up subjecting the ponies to circumstances that might speed up their deterioration process, or outright damage them. At the end of the day, everyone should do what makes them happy with their collection. If you want to take a pony with you to the pool and take some cool and dramatic pictures for you to enjoy and share with others, you do you!

That's regrind, isn't it? So that means I can do nothing about it, right?

Pony Corral / Re: How to store ponies?
« on: July 05, 2019, 02:12:39 AM »
For the silica packets - I've bought them in bulk on wish, and put some into small organza bags I also got on wish. I have those in the shelf (behind the ponies and not touching them), but maybe getting thin fabric bags without any printing or dye on them might help with storage as discussed here!

Arts & Crafts Corral / Re: Supporting original artists and creators

I love buying or getting things that someone made themselves! Doesn't need to be connected to my collections (MLP and dragons), though that always is a plus. Most of the handmade items I have are presents. My sister is very crafty and has made some Amigurumis for me, including a rainbow mane & tail unicorn, and a Fluttershy one. I also got a pony made by Twinkleeyeslittlegems from her, that she designed in cooperation with the artist, which I love very dearly; I am planning on getting little Cupcake Surprise a friend at some point because I absolutely adore these sea ponies, it's simply a budget question. There are other extremely talented artists that make gorgeous custom ponies out there and I would love to get some of their work, but again, budget question.

I've commissioned some digital artwork for my Twitch channel back when I was still active there a while back, I guess that has no connection to my collection! :) I've also bought prints from artists of artwork that I enjoy, both pony related and unrelated.

As to selling myself, I did quite a bit of sewing and resin jewelry several years back, and attended local Christmas Markets together with my mum and sister to sell our crafts. The last years were very disappointing though, culminating in an event where I did not sell a single piece. Might have been the wrong market for my merchandise, might have been that I just didn't do good enough work, but whatever the reason was for this disaster, it pulled me down so much that I haven't touched my sewing machine ever since, nor made a single piece of resin jewelry. My family is extremely crafty, with me kinda being the least crafty black sheep in the bunch so I am looking at a very high standard of creativity and craftiness that is hard for me to match.

Crafting things myself made me understand and get a feeling for how much work and love is put into handmade items. Their prices might be higher than mass produced items, but they will still not match the true worth of time and love (plus material costs) that are poured into such items!
