"Parrot Carnivale" - Things with Wings Custom for Stormpony *pic heavy*

Stormpony has received her package, so here is the custom I made for her for the Things with Wings swap.

Stormpony had lots of parrots on her list of likes, and she said she really liked bling, so I started thinking about Carnivale, Mardi Gras, etc and all the colorful amazing costumes people wear and I came up with this girl. She's meant to look like she's wearing a costume (and body paint I guess LOL, along with some funky contacts!).  The headdress does come on and off (I lined it with felt...it's a tight squeeze but it doesn't mess up the paint). 

"Parrot Carnivale" was inspired by by the Hawk-Headed or Red Fan Parrot in particular.  The color combo on those birds is so awesome that I had to go with that species.

Sculpting done with Magic Sculpt, painted with Acrylics and Pearl-Ex, rehaired with Dollyhair Candy Apple, Blueberry Muffin and a small streak of Marshmallow, and given lots of rhinestone bling! :D

I had a lot of fun making her Stormpony, I hope you really like her :D  I had a great time doing the wings in particular!

Great source for inspiration and what a brilliantly executed concept, she looks amazing! I love the details on her face and the headdress, and the colour combination is striking. Great job!
