Off Topic / Re: Anime?
« on: June 04, 2018, 11:36:12 AM »
I just started watching Seven Deadly Sins and am totally hooked!
Ive never been super into anime, I did watch Inuyasha about 13 years ago but just fell away from it. My wife grew up watching Sailor Moon and started collecting the DVDs so we've recently seen a few of those.
Any other recommendations?

Assassination Classroom.  It's hilarious and a bit macabre, but the end of the series was so sweet it made me cry.  I recommend it to everyone.
Ooh I've been really interested in Assassination Classroom. I think I might try the manga first, though? Any thoughts on that?

Teddy and Sweetheart married just after high school, made each other miserable for a few years, then had a messy divorce.  Teddy is currently in jail for assaulting the pony who came to repossess his car.
Lol, this is exactly how it happens. I can confirm.

Wow, that lettering looks like a font printed from a computer! Really good job!

I'm going to register that. And Carpe Diem. And Happy Birthday. You heard it here first!

I think I read something about the Happy Birthday song being trademarked by somebody, so....

Yep. Warner Bros.

Had to pay royalties to use it... I think that might be over now...

Yeah, a judge decided that the song was public domain. :)

Aww, I pre-ordered this for full price when it first came out. If I saw it at Dollar Tree I'd probably buy several copies. :)

I bought myself a graduation present after I graduated last year: MOC Argentinian Rockin' Beat Tuneful! That was definitely the most I've spent on one pony but I used graduation gift money and she was a really good deal. :D No regrets!

I somehow missed She-Ra when I was a kid but I've gotten interested as an adult so I'm definitely on board for this re-boot! It looks like it will be good. :)

I've gotten really obsessed with Stardew Valley lately. I think it's one of those things where I got burnt out on school and I started putting all of my time into something else: Stardew Valley. I still have a paper to finish, so I can't play too much...

At last I have my copy of Honey So Sweet volume 7.

Glad to hear it. I got tired of waiting for my regular source and ebay'ed it. I've since moved onto Kamisama Kiss and Fullmetal Alchemist - I adore the anime's of both, and figure the manga could only get better.
I've heard the manga of Fullmetal Alchemist is waaay better than the anime, though I've only read the first two volumes so I can't confirm. I'm planning to get back into the manga, though.

I've been continuing with Kamisama Kiss, while also reading a bit of Citrus. I'm not a big fan of the story in Citrus but the artwork is breathtaking. I mean, wow. I wish the creator of that manga would do some sort of fantasy story.

Imagine them finding a box of TE and adding a few MOC Mimics to the market. XD
I would place an actual bet that they have boxes and boxes full of G 3.5s in their warehouses. When my Kmart closed a few years ago (it was the one of the last Kmarts to close) they had never started getting G4s -- they just had piles and piles of G 3.5s left over. And I still didn't buy them...

I've gotten back into Stardew Valley a little bit and I'm kinda obsessed. I'm super busy with school right now but Stardew is a game that can be played for short periods at a time, so I've been playing it a little bit. I'm still in my first year, though, so I haven't played that much.

Does anyone have any thoughts on Your Name? It looks interesting.

It's sooooo good! I saw it pretty recently, and as soon as I watched the movie I ordered the manga. And the third (and last) volume of the manga just came out in English!

Secret of Mana remake!  I'm not too fond of the voice acting but that slight gripe is offset by how gorgeous this game is.
Ooh I'm glad to hear good things about it! I pre-ordered it at GameStop but haven't gotten a chance to play it yet because I'm so busy with school.

Wow, Dark Souls is pretty hard core for your first game! Though I found Limbo to be pretty difficult, too. Do you think you'll keep playing?
