Title: Cleaning a perfume puff pony
Post by: Prismatic on January 25, 2012, 02:02:01 PM
I recently received a few more of the pp's I still needed.  One of them could really use a cleaning, but I don't know how their scents are applied to them and I don't want to wash that scent off on accident.  So does anyone have any tips on how to clean their bodies and hair without damaging their fragrance?

I don't think the usual soap and water will harm the scent.

I use Magic Erasers and Pantine conditioner which does not have much of a scent to it :)

Awesome, so it's possible to use a magic eraser?  One of them has some weird brown gunk on it (my imagination has run wild with what that could possibly be) and I had to fight the urge to wip the eraser out lol.

I used a magic eraser on a scented G3, so I don't think it would hurt a G1 PP.

However, please don't scrub the heck out of it! :P

It should be fine. I wash almost anything that comes through my hands, if anything I notice the smell is stronger afterward (not being under dirt)

I use those (the erasers), little ivory bar soap, and a conditioner with the mildest fragrance I could find on all my ponies.
PP- adding conditioner to the hair, and combing from tips to roots with a wire cat slicker (got an inexpensive one just for my ponies) works great! You wouldn't believe the kinds of stuff I've found hidden in that kind of hair. :D
