Thank you all so much. I really want her haha. Does anyone here own her and can tell me more about where she's coming from? Is there any brand/year under her hoof or belly?

Pony Corral / Green Centaur fakie.

Hello.

There was a thread a while ago about the weirdest fakies you've ever seen. There was a picture of a green centaur fakie which was so weird that it became cute. She oddly became one of ny grails now. I can't find the thread anymore. But if someone remembers feel free to link it here.

Also I would like to ask if anyone knows where to get this falie or how to possible google search for it. I think it is a vintage toy. It doesn't look like something that you would find in stores nowdays.

Thank you!

There are certain ponies I don't re-home even when double or tripple. I am too in love with them lol. Such as Snuzzle, Pretty Vision, all the Sweet Kisses ponies (euro versions).

Don't get me wrong in this topic. I am not willing to sell or give away my ponies any time soon and knowing myself, probably never. I am a collector of many things. Not just ponies. I collect Pink Panther as well and have a huge collection of plushe and statues. Which was also a childhood obsession and I stil have all of them :)

I do agree that rehoming ponies you have double is sometimes difficult, but I only do it when I am in need of money or want to buy more ponies with the money I got from them.

Sorry to hear some of you went through terrible things like havig to sell your ponies because your partner brought you in financial trouble. I can't imagine myself ever having to do something like that.

Thought I make a fun topic to see what people think or feel what value their collection might be. I am not asking what the value is. But more like what you would be willing to let it go for.

I think my topic is misunderstood. I don't mean that someone walks up to you and gives you the money in hand. But more like...if you were to sell your collection, what price would you put on it.

This is kind of contradictory...
You want to know what price someone would put their collection up for sale for but not it's value?  :what:

I mean, if I were to sell my collection, I'd put it up for what I believed it's market value to be.
I'd estimate mine to be worth maybe $2000 or so but if I were to actually sell my collection I know it's unlikely I'd get that much selling all in one lot. I'd sell ponies individually first then if there were some that didn't sell after a while I'd put those in a lower priced lot.

No, this is why I said emotional value can add up to the price. So perhaps once you come to a point that you might want to sell them, there will still be some kind of emotional value to them. Which probably makes you add another couple of hundered maybe even thousands of dollers/euros. I don't ask what the market value of your total collection is. But what YOU find it worth and one day are willing to sel it for that price. Not caring about buyers not finding it worth that much. It is litteraly about YOU. Not about factual value.

Because if someone came up to me right now and offered me 7000 euro, I would not sell it. Because at this point I simply have no interest selling it. But incase I ever will. That would most lilely be the price, sbould my collection not expand.

I have to say. Selling my collection automatically excludes my childhood ponies. I would never sell those. I am too attached to them.

If I happen to have my collection untill I die. My son will inherrit them. He is free to do with them as he pleases. I hope he would take care of them (he is already growing up with pony love, so he is learning to value them :)) but I wouldn't mind him selling them to save for a goal in the future. I'm still a mom afterall

I never stopped collecting eversince I got my first G1 when I was around 4 years old. Whenever I came across a second hand shop or thrift store I always took a look, hoping to find some pony sweetness. I was actually a little too young to fully have grown up with G1's. But I started collecting as a child when G2 came out. I was obsessed. I drew them, I slept with them, I took Morning Glory everywhere. Then when G3 came out I was already a lot older, but I did enjoy them for a bit. But I just didn't play with them like I used to. After that I had a long break, but liek I said. Thrift stories or small"market" where people sell their old stuff were always my thing. I started collecting officially last year in May when I bought a pony from Marktplaats, which is an Ebay like website in the Netherlands. She was a Brush 'n Grow Curly Locks. I was stunned by her beauty in person and that's when the spark lit up again. Officially this time. I bought so many ponies over the course of 1,5 years.

I have to say, I experience it in phases. Sometimes you have weeks and even months where you are completely obsessed. But then a few weeks of less obsession and more watching your bank account lol. But I always feel the spark lights up when I have a little bit more money to spend. So, for me it goes up and down. But Ponies are always in the back of my mind. Even in the less obsessed phases.

Right now I am obsessed with owning a Rapunzel. I've been savig money for one and I can't wait till I have one.

Global Shipping Program is a shipping method being used by (sadly) a lot of sellers on Ebay lately. It's getting more and more popular. But in fact it is waaaaaay more expensive for buyers. Instead of people going to a postoffice to calculate what shipping actually cost to a specific country. Ebay takes care of that an estimates how much it would be, plus they make a profit off of it. Which makes the method super expensive for buyers.

I didn't know about this in the beginning and I bought so much from sellers who used it. I regret that. I could have been rich or richer in ponies if I paid more attention to it. But I know now and I rarely buy from people who use the Global Shipping Program. Simply because I refuse to pay 2 sometimes even 3 times the actual shipping cost for 1 Pony. Oh and the worst thing. The Global Shipping Program doesn't do combined shipping, so you pay for each pony seperate... -_-

I personally haven't been into the "official" pony collecting for that long, but I do have some very valuable ponies. I enjoy my collection a lot. In the beginning I bought a lot off of Ebay, not knowing about Global Shipping Program etc. So I often paid loads of shipping cost. If I would have started now I would have done it different. Take it more slowly instead of going on a shopping spree on Ebay and anywhere you can buy Ponies. I think the shipping cost I've paid for all my ponies is about 50/50. I don't want to get rid of my collection for many years. But if I have to make a choice right now, I think I would say between 6000 and 7000 euro. Considering the value of the ponies, shipping cost and emotional value.

I'd like to hear about yours.
