I picked up my first Nirvana, Argie North Star, today from my local post office!

Overall, she looks to be in nice shape other than some missing hair plugs in her mane, a bit of wear to one eye, and what I think is mostly just surface dirt (she looks a bit dirty/dingy).  Does anyone have any cleaning/care suggestions?  (I don't know if Argie's need special care with eyes, symbols, etc.)  In looking at her mane and tail, I noticed that mine has yellow instead of white in her mane and tail.  Could she be rehaired or is this a different version from the white?  I'd greatly appreciate any information about her from some of the Argie experts!

I haven't taken any photos of her yet, but here is a link to the auction so that you can see her in the seller's pictures:

Thanks for the input, wizzer218!

I decided to give her a light cleaning with a magic eraser, gentle soap and water, and some conditioner for her hair.  I got most of the surface dirt easily enough, but it still feels like there might be some in-ground dirt here and there that might warrant a bit more intensive effort.  Her head is slightly loose, but not totally unglued...I'm on the fence as to whether or not I should pop her head and clean her out on the inside.  I usually only remove heads when I know for a fact there is tail rust/internal rust that I need to deal with.

Here are some more pictures of her so you can see the yellow:

Is her head loose? I think all Argies have loose heads so there would be no need to worry about popping her head off and breaking the neck seal ;)

Oooooo from the pics she seems legit to me! Just the color/shine and how it falls seems original. Never seen her with yellow! How cool!
And yes several argies have no neck glue so popping it off shouldnt hurt her value :)

Thank you so much for the input, pinkkittywinks and relcelestia!

I gathered my courage and removed her head.  It was a bit of a challenge because the bottom portion seemed to be glued fairly well and I was VERY afraid that I'd damage her neck plug and/or the plastic around her head.  She was very clean inside and didn't appear to have rust or gunk of any sort, so that was good news.   :)

I tried to take some photos of the inside of her head and the washer for her tail.  I'm not sure if you can see well-enough to tell anything.  (My cell phone camera and I aren't great at taking pictures.)

Inside her head:

The weird looking washer and knotting inside her tail:

Can someone tell me more about her weird looking washer for her tail?  Is that a normal Argie thing or was it replaced at some point?  Any additional information on this girl would be greatly appreciated!   :)

Oooohhh you lucky ducky!!!!
Don't search for a rehair because she's not!! She's a variant! And she's pretty hard to find )this is the second time I see one of these), I have a friend who has the same one since her childhood so you can imagine!
You are really lucky I'm so jeaolous! I've been looking for this girl for a loong time and I've never been able to find one.
There's also a moonstone hair variant with red, blue and white which is more hard to find than this one.
Congratulations on your acquisition!!!

Thank you, Marian, for the information that you shared and to everyone else who posted.   :)

It's so fun and exciting to learn about Argies and the other Nirvanas out there.  I have so much to learn!
