Does anyone know anything about these EQG Dolls?

I'm trying to figure out what makes these different from the one's they are already selling?

Oh- well six pack then.  Honestly I didn't look too close since they don't really interest me.

Karen the only differences between these and prior "basic" release dolls- appears to be the plastic outfits that are based on the movie/game.  Seems a little odd, but I know Hasbro did that with Strawberry Shortcake at some point (the newer one) so this totally doesn't surprise me.

Those huge multi-doll jumbo packs seem to be getting popular with both Hasbro and Mattel.

The faces are shorter and rounder, and overall the features of their faces look much more like movie characters than the current dolls do. (Not to mention, the hair appears to be MUCH better quality, too!)

And really, if you're going to make a movie where your characters wear the same outfits for 90% of the film, doesn't it make sense to (eventually) release the characters wearing those outfits?

Are there other pictures people are going by because the pictures above are from a different angle and it's hard for me to tell the faces are really all that different, or at least as different as what is implied.

Has hasbro said they're using a different type of hair/head or that these are gonna be higher quality or is this just a judgement people are making from this photo?

I'm kinda seeing smaller eyes and the head is the same.

The clothing, meh...I'm not impressed with plastic polly pocket style clothing.

I've just done a quick eyesight comparison to my rainbow rocks Twilight doll to the one in the pic and it could just be the angle of the photo or the lighting. She looks roughly the same to me.

Also not a fan of the plastic/rubber clothing but I can understand the reasoning behind it-cheaper etc.

The EQGs hair has gotten thicker since the RR line-in the first wave the hair plug lines were very far apart and the plugs themselves were also far apart, as of the RR dolls the lines are still the same distance but there's more plugs per line. the hair is super soft too-both Twidoll and Flutterdoll who I got don;t really need a trip to the spa like my first wave dolls did. I can only surmise the first wave was a tezt to see how they did-they've done well so they've upped the quality a bit-giving them feet and thickening the hair etc.

...uhm this just turned into a EQG babble sorry I've gone from loathing the things to being obsessed with them...they're so cute!

I'm so excited for these dolls! I remember when the 1st basic dolls were released I emailed hasbro asking why they looked nothing like they did in the movie or even their box art, so seeing that they actually made accurate dolls makes me happy I'm sure alot of other people complained as well, it really was ridiculous how different they were I mean just look..

they're still cute but it was still so disappointing that there was such a huge disconnect from the dolls to their artwork.

Yeah I am agreeing with this. The second picture is taken from quite a deep lower angle as opposed to the other which is a tiny bit raised and straight on. I think its lighting and angling which changes the faces appearance. Same dolls just some clothing and hair colour differences.
