Wow thats something about the ring.  One could think up all sorts of reasons it was there.

Yea we never found out.  It was in the liner of a box but it was loose and we heard it rattling around.  I don't even know if they knew it was there or if it has an older story.  I've often wondered about it.  It wasn't a huge ring maybe $300-400 but I'll always wonder about it.  I wish we had found the original owner.
I'm not really on here anymore. Email me if you need my for something.

A lot of sellers are just flipping their ponies, I'd try to find out if they really were hers. And for the record, I keep my valuable info in a pony, at least what will fit curled up.

Haha, I clicked "contact the seller," but as I went to click 'submit poll,' I got a little click-happy, and somehow changed my answer to "SPEND THE MONEY IMMEDIATELY ON PONIES" and managed to click submit before I could fix it. What can I say? THE HEART WANTS WHAT THE HEART WANTS. :lmao:

Logically, I know I'd have to send the money back to the person who lost it, but isn't it nice to pretend for a bit that we suddenly had $300 to spend on ponies? ;) And I'd certainly hope that the person who lost the money would give me a little reward for finding her money for her!

oh I'd write to them about it, most definitely. Anything I bought with that money would have guilt attached to it D:

I'd buy ponies... I feel like a bad person, so I'll take out my guilt on fakies!

Since I could not make up my mind I voted for keeping the money.. I'm a bit of a finders keepers person due to my childhood, we never had a lot of money. But I'd probably save it for future use and send some to charity funds (such as eddsworld legacy).

I would probably write to the seller about it. As much as I would like some extra cash, I would just feel so guilty and bad about it.

Honestly, I'd probably try to contact the seller.  If it is really that person's childhood collection, I'd return the money - it isn't mine and they deserve to keep it.  But if it's a flipper, I'd probably donate some of it and keep the rest because there's no way to find the original owner at that point.

If it was only a little money ($5 or so) I'd probably just keep it, though.

I will always vote for honesty. Write to the seller and tell her what you found, and that you'd be willing to mail it back to her. The choice is yours of course but... I would suffer a very guilty concience should I do anything else.

Write to the seller and offer to wire the money back. The seller is probably selling off her childhood collection due to financial problems, and it's fair that the money goes back to her to help her out.

Contact the seller no question.  Money comes and goes, but you can't put a price on your integrity.

I would write the seller, too. I would feel guilty if I didn't. But I wonder who would put $300 in a pony? Who would put ANY money in a pony? Maybe I should look through all of mine. XP

The person may have had a sibling or relative that would steal money. I actually did that with my own cash. I'd stash it away in my ball joint doll's head because my niece would steal any money she'd find anywhere in the house. @_@

I'd also say write the person and let them know, definitely!
