Lotus Blossom and Cadence remind me of Day of the Dead faces

Honestly, they're pretty meh. Helia could be cool but her colours (all those tattoos aside) are pretty bland. I'm putting odds on that they're the new Pony Mania set.

On another note, i like that Cadence's shoes are coloured That's the one plus point here lol

I think they are awesome. The designs really are not as random as some other G4 ponies we have seen. (Like the ponymania ones)
I especially love Lotus and i agree that she has a bit of a "day of the dead" vibe going on.
Frankly i'm glad we are getting something a bit special and i don't care about show accuracy at all.
After all these years i can't really get excited too much over a pony in the same old pose with a simple cutiemark that already has been released in some other way. Not sure why anyone would prefer that over these.

Yup, I have to agree.  I haven't bought a brushable G4 MLP in years, due to the fact they all started to look the same.  I really like Lotus, maybe even enough to purchase.  But if they are in a big expensive set, I'll have to pass.

Anyway, hooray for new characters.  I just hope I don't ruin them trying to fix them.

I think the patterns are actually really pretty.
As other people said, it has a very Day of the Dead vibe.
I'll be getting them.

My first reaction was "oh my gosh why", but looking a little closer at the designs I kind of like them!  The patterns are much more cohesive than Pony Mania or the new CMM designs, and I could totally see ponies with those designs running a Whole Foods store or New Age-y retreat.

Eta: lotus actually has an amazing design, I think. But that heavy black ruins it just a bit.
