So hard to choose between Munchy and Yum Yum. Both were in my childhood herd and are so cute... I went with Munchy since her colors and symbols are a bit more unique

Ah nostalgia, I was in Tokyo on my 14th visit there in 2017. I'd hope to go back in 2021 (stupid work interrupting my travel schedule) so it's nice to see these shops still going strong!

Basically brushables are toys, vinyl and resin statues are art. If one is art, they pretty much both are. It%u2019s just a matter of personal taste.
Art is subjective but one is designed to withstand play and one is not. I could say "this piece of art that was created for young children to play with" or I could say toy. I'm gonna say toy because it's shorter and toy is generally a known word I don't think it's important to discuss the semantic difference between toy and art in regards to the topic, we could even bring in the topic of capitalism and how that affects the consumption of art, or the consumption of art in different economic classes. But the question is does this piece of art that was created for young children to play with look good displayed with art design only to be observed. When that toy art isnt particularly well made. and again art is subjective (Brightberry I quoted your reply, but my response is in general to what has been said in this thread overall since my last reply) I really think the main point is that currently, the brushables are so cheap and low quality that they aren't as collectible as even past generations. As inflation happens Hasbro refuses to raise the price point and instead lowers the quality. I would honestly pay the $10-15 to have even G3 level quality.
Thank you!

oh haha, I bet everyone has dozens or maybe even hundreds of missed out stories! It happens so often I can't even remember many individual cases Sadly many of my cases are "I forgot about the auction and it ended up selling for less than what I would've put my Max bid" Haha so I can only blame myself. Another time maybe 2017 or 2018 I was quibbling over buying a baby mermaid pony for 20$ and someone bought it while I waffled. Is it missing out if you do it to yourself? One particularly annoying time was in real life, I saw a MIB newborn baby twins set in some garage sale photos. I arrived at the sale at the same time as a known reseller and he sprinted to the front door and demanded they open for him (this was about 15 mins) before the start time. So I watched that man who had been rude to me in the past take those MIB babies out from under me. I often think of I had arrived just a minute earlier

OP I get what you mean. People bringing in the cost of things on the 2ND hand collectable market are just confusing the topic. Mimic might be 150$ now but she was 3.99$ (or whatever) just like all the rest of them originally
Further this is just about G4 items but the sound of it. Comparing different lines in one generation. There were really only porcelines in G1, so I guess you could ask would you display the porcelines with the brushables in g1
Basically brushables are toys, vinyl and resin statues are art. The audiences are different. If you are more an art audience person, toy stuff might not appeal to you. It's ok to not mix them or even get toy stuff. Likewise, you might like both. Or just the toy line
I don't think I'd display them together. I've never really gotten into resin or vinyl statues (I have just a few Sailor Moon, Utena, Rayearth etc) but if I had them of FiM characters I'd put them with my other statues rather than with my brushables

"She's saying it would be stupid to make them that way. She's not calling Sunset stupid. " I didn't say she called sunset stupid if you'll recall. Sunset come up with that idea, then y'all called it stupid. Maybe it's not needed to call people's ideas stupid, idk maybe that's just me
"What are you talking about? And speak for yourself on that one" See phrasing like that is aggressive, a simple I disagree can get the job done just as well, especially when just replying to a neutral opinion.
Regardless of the "passion" BF will do whatever is best for it's bottom line

Making Twinkle Eyes without their Twinkle Eyes would just be stupid, if I can be blunt for a second. Can't see any logic in that at all.
No need to call people's musings stupid The logic is cost savings, the original idea posed was "well they didn't do flutter ponies because of the added cost, what could they do to save money on twinkle eyes? Not do twinkle eyes?" from a business perspective it has logic to it. Now I know a bunch of people are going to jump up "oh the accuracy!" But as a discussion of what's best for a companys profits it's a legitimate pondering. I feel if it became too costly they'd move onto another set and just skip them like the flutters I feel like things are getting a bit too heated/aggressive over a simple what if scenerio That being said I would love to see and will buy gingerbread, fizzy and sweetstuff they are all lovely choices. Masquerade was my childhood te it came out when I was just a couple months old, but I won't complain if they don't make her.

I have my own room for my collections and decor, sadly I can't fit all my pony and vintage toys collection in there (it's in that room, the diningroom, my bedroom and two closest yikes) my ponies are in cabinets in the dining room but for preservation reasons I keep black out curtains over the cabinets so I can't really see them ever sadly. In my own room I spend my time taking photos mainly, I have an area with a backdrop and some photography lighting
