Can Anyone tell me why G1 is hard to find?

Adding to the combs/brushes confusion is a few other Hasbro lines shared the same combs.  The My Pretty Mermaids had a few that look exactly like MLP combs.

Not just the combs, but some other accessories were reused across lines too. IIRC Hasbro used a boombox accessory for both MLP and Jem, and of course Rama Llama was released in both lines too. And they reused a Petite Pony playset for LPS too.

Yes, although the boomboxes are different colours. Danse's is orange I think, and the one with the outfit is teal? So that helps a bit.
