It’s on Netflix now. 
Just rewatched it on there yesterday. My third time watching it, and I still love it. Really impressed with how much effort the show's staff obviously put into it.

Lol, I have the opposite problem. I basically only collect G3 ponies (with the occasional G4) and I didn't even like G1s when I first got into ponies. Then I started seeing some G1s pop up here on the forum and thought "oh, that one's actually pretty cute..." and before I knew it I was buying some from ebay. Now I have a bunch of G1 ponies sitting around the house and I just can't seem to convince myself to sell them or trade them for G3s. And now the G2's are starting to look cute, too....  Why do ponies have to be so addicting?!

Congrats on the awesome finds! G3 ponies are so adorable  and Autumn Skye is easily one of my favorites. Congratulations on adding such beautiful ponies to your collection

Eh, I tend not to over-analyze the show that much (probably a result of having grown up on the older MLP cartoons where logic didn't apply at all, lol  ) but I don't see a difference between Fluttershy's animal ability and any other character's ability. Twilight and Starlight are near-invincible when it comes to magic; whatever is needed for the plot, bang they can just cast a spell they "just so happened" to look up at some point. Rainbow Dash's flying/speed is pretty much the same. And since the animal-taming thing has only really come up a few times -- at least to the point where it's important to the plot -- I don't see a problem with it. Just my opinion, though, I can certainly see why other might disagree with this.

What happened to having Christmas specials around Christmas? Bad enough I'm seeing Christmas stuff at stores mixed in with Halloween and thanksgiving. I'm really hoping the early airing of this episode means they'll be releasing the DVD in time for actual Christmas

For me it's Pinkie Pie. I see her everywhere; thrift shops, yard sales, consignment sales, toy shops, etc. From different generations, too. I've even found multiple fakies that are obviously designed to look like her. And, ironically, she's one of my least favorite ponies.

What are your dream goals?
1. Get myself to eat at least one meal per day; ideally, would like to get to the point of eating three meals a day. Also, need to add more meat to my diet. (doctor's orders)
2. Organize and declutter my house.
3. Get outdoors and get active. Jogging, exercising, walk the dog, whatever. Checking in with a progress update.  1. I'm afraid this goal has been going nowhere fast. I've achieved my minimal goal of one meal per day, but haven't been able to progress past that. I have managed to add some meat to my diet though (my husband has been helping with that by bringing home "snacking meats" like precooked bacon and liverwurst) so that's at least something. 2. Making slow but steady progress on this. My original goal was to have the whole house finished by Thanksgiving. I'm doubtful now that this will happen, but if I at least finish by Christmas I'll be happy. 3. This is the one I've made the most progress with. Walking/hiking is surprisingly relaxing and I enjoy taking walks in the park, especially with the dogs. With cold weather setting in (we've already had our first snow!) I'm not sure how well I'll do this next month, but I'm happy for now. Also wanted to give an acknowledgement to my awesome HP buddy who has been so helpful and supportive.

Just finished watching it. I loved it! It was so cute and heartwarming, I was grinning the whole way through. Highlights for me were: Spoiler 1. The friendships between the mane 6. It seems like their friendship hasn't really been explored onscreen in a long while. 2. Discord was great in the episode as always. I love what he did for Fluttershy -- their friendship/whatever is so adorable. I also liked that he gave Rainbow Dash half-credit for the gift, it seemed uncharacteristically thoughtful of him. 3. Derppony was allowed to speak! Even if her voice keeps changing with each appearance, it's so great to see her uncensored for a change. As someone who is both clumsy and has several mental disorders, I relate to her so much and hate how she's been forced into the background. 4. Shining, Cadance, and Flurry! I love my nerd-family so much Overall, I enjoyed this special so much more than I thought I would. I didn't really have any complaints about it. It was cute, it was fun, and it left me really wishing Christmas wasn't so far away, lol.

Also, please do post if you have a SOLID INTEREST in this thread- once I hear from people I will PM anyone I haven't heard from (who has expressed interest) to see if they want one or two
I'm definitely interested in getting one of each when they're available
