Hello all!
It's been a long time since I've last posted here. I wanted to share with you, although some of you might already seen them on FB or IG, two porcelain ponies I found this summer.
I bought them from a seller located in Valencia (Spain), I went to pick them up on my way to my vacation destination.
I asked her about how she got them and so, and she told she's had them for 25-30 years at least (she would be about 60-70 by now), and that a friend who worked in a porcelain production gifted them to her. She suggested they could be Lladró, but I doubt it, as they have no markings and the colors don't resemble the Lladró style.
I don't discard these could have been some practice, test or such for people learning porcelain and that they used a pony to get the mold or such. Idk, I'm just trying to imagine where these could have come from, as it's the first time I come across these.
Here are some photos of the ponies. Enjoy!

Oh wow they are beautiful! What a great find. I love the grey one especially.

Oh they are really nice.
They remind me of DIY pottery classes. Like you picked out something already made, and then glaze it to however you want...

Cool find! Another mystery to solve, for sure

They are so beautiful: congratulations!

The second one makes me think of what Baby Blossom might look like when she grows up. Very cute, and definitely spooky in their similarity...nice find, congrats!

That's interesting! I thought something similar too. I wish the lady would have given me more information about them :/

I'm wondering if maybe posting in the Corral might help., Not everyone checks the Nirvana section. I could of sworn I've seen something similar before on this forum.

They’re definitely batch made, as in produced in a factory. The types of glazed they’re using and the way they are applied haven’t been done by an amateur. They are likely part of a production line that produced other similar porcelain figures with similar glaze colours. They are made using a technique called slip casting which is typically used to produce multiple cheap and uniform products. Are there any stamps or identifying marks anywhere?

Yes, I did see pics of the grey one before, and I fell in love with it on the spot! How wonderful that you have another one too! They may be only modelled on G1 ponies and aren't official merchandise, but who cares, they're GORGEOUS!
Question: are they hollow? Or are they moulded from a solid piece of clay?

Wow, these are really cool!
-
These are great, I haven't seen anything like them before, what a find.
Love pkw xxx

Wow, really pretty! Really awsome find, congrats.

These are stunning! What a great and unexpected piece of pony history.

Wow!!! Great find!!!
I really like the the greyish one.....It's a pitty Hasbro only use *happy* colors on ponies....because a real G1 in those colors would be awesome IMHO!
And not that it would be a Villain type of Pony...but a Misty or Stormy....or even a little Ghostly....
