Don't mind me, I'm just the goblin artisan lurking in the corner, trying to figure out how to tackle a whole bunch of MLP restoration tasks that are new to me.

Even though I'm a 90s kid, perfectly poised to be a huge MLP collector, I actually didn't collect them until G3 came out (I mostly owned Breyer horses and tons of dinosaur figures instead, turning to anime stuff in my teens onward), and even then, I only picked up a few of the ones I especially liked. I also purchased a few lots of bait ponies back in the day with the intent to customize, but life has a funny way of coming up with other plans and so I didn't really get around to utilizing those supplies much.... until now!

I'd given away a large portion of my MLPs —virtually all G1s and G3s— upon accepting the fact that I was unlikely to do anything with them and I wasn't exactly part of any related communities.  Life took a grim turn and my best friend passed away, leaving me with a new-to-me collection of Flutters, Summer Wings, and Windy Wings that had nowhere else to go. I couldn't bear to toss them or pass them on, but they'd also been well loved and weren't in the best of shape... and so here I am, bringing out all those buried supplies of mine and digging deep into restoration techniques so I can give these gals some thoroughly deserved TLC.

Ol' Morning Glory in my profile pic isn't my favorite MLP — that'd probably be Night Glider, one I've never had, and I'm not likely to own anytime soon!— but she's the first completed restoration in what's sure to be a pretty long, ongoing process.

Welcome to the arena, and I'm so sorry for your loss.
There are some good resources here for info on restoring ponies.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Taking care of your friend's ponies sounds like a lovely way of keeping their memory alive. :hug:
