precious gem's curls

so, i've found a very beaten up precious gem, her hair was super matted, cut and very dirty
since her hair was cut, i wanted at least to give her similar curls to her original ones to make up for it

i had such a hard time figuring out how to make her curls similar, bit it turns out you have to curl it around something VERY fine (i usually use straws for curls, this time i had to use q tips)

after a bit of trial and error, i managed to give her these adorable curls <3

She looks so cute! I'm unsure why her hair is hard to brush out but you did a great job! It must have been hard to use q tips but it really paid off!

Bits of cut up drinking straw or hair grips (bobby pins maybe?) also work well for very small tight curls

Precious Gem does have DIFFICULT hair to groom and restyle though, because of the tight curls. You did an amazing job

i tried with straws before the q tips but they didn't turn out tight enough

Wow those are awesome! My niece foung a Precious Gem for me a while back and I did just the same. I have some thin perm curlers that I use.
