Crystal Dreams of Pony Design...!

Sorry for the lack of art recently, this year is the year I've decided I want to work on some of my larger projects (animation and comics) but I have done a little bit of pony art recently :heart:
Probably the most oddly specific-to-my-interests piece of art I've made to date, have some City Hunter ponies! <3

Ryo's symbol was a real challenge and I wound up reworking it like three times whilst Kaori's was super easy haha. They're G1 but more accurately they should be Takara ponies (who actually released the same year as the anime - 1986) - perhaps I'll draw that another day?

I second dippindot, not familiar with these characters but they look cute, great work! I love the feathered feet and the soft glow.

Aww thanks! I like to add a bit of grain and chromatic aberration to make it look more authentically '80s' , but it also helps to make it look less flat (like how some digital art can look at times) I think ^.^

Thankyou! I'm not surprised most people aren't familiar with the series - even though it was serialised in Shōnen Jump it's kind of obscure haha ^.^
