Grr! Have You Ever Misplaced an Auction Pony?

I am so mad at myself! I ordered two Dazzle Surprise ponies through the Hasbro mail order offer and held onto them MIP til now. One sold on eBay for more than I was expecting. I listed the second after shipping off the first. Someone sent me a message asking about the picture (I used the same for both) and that prompted me to check on the second Dazzle Surprise. Who has mysteriously disappeared! I had to cancel the auction (it already had a bid and more people were interested), and I've been frantically looking for her ever since. She isn't turning up anywhere!! My apartment isn't very big, but I've turned over every possible hiding place and she's nowhere to be found :/


Has this ever happened to you? Did the pony eventually turn up, or stay lost in the same place missing socks go? Should I keep actively looking or will she probably turn up as soon as I'm *not* looking?

Yes...and I think your theory is right, it stays hidden wherever those missing socks go
 
But in your case I hope she turns up.  Have tried looking in very ovious places instead of digging through stuff?  I know I can be searching for something and look up and it's staring me in the face.

Stop looking for three days.  You'll find her, fallen into some laundry or some such!

I've not misplaced any ponies but I couldn't find my case of crochet hooks and a pattern book. Drove me nuts searching for them. After 2 days I discovered them in a laundry basket with a shirt that had fallen on top. So I agree with the above suggestion that you should try to stop actively looking for her a day or so. Sometimes a random disappearance takes a random reappearance.

Try the fridge, freezer, or laundry basket
   seriously though , that is frustrating!   I havent had it happen to me with a pony, but I did have it happen to me with some playset items. In the end I found them thankfully -  my mom had moved them without telling me. Have you checked with your family/friends  incase they moved your pony and forget to tell you?    or do you have pets that might have accidently knocked the pony off a table /behind a piece of furnature or something?

I'm glad we're all agreed that there is some kind of weird affinity between ponies and laundry! I'm going to try not looking for a few days and see how that goes. I'm driving myself nuts looking in the same spots, expecting a pony to magically appear in them.

Do you live with someone else? Sometimes asking someone who isn't so engrossed can give a fresh eye and see the item.
