hiya, my names annette, and i discovered this site while looking through some old archives, and am here to see some of the history of pony toy collecting and such, i love seeing and hearing about old collections and experiences from collectors! i dont know much about it all if im being honnest, im more of a fan of the shows and movies, but i do love the toys dearly, and am starting to get into a bit of it.
so i guess now i should do that little introduction thing suggested, well lets see how i do!
im 29, live in atlanta georgia, was homeschooled for my later half of my school-life, my boyfriend and friends mean alot to me, and ive loved ponies all my life! i dont truly have a profession or major as i am unable to work due to several irrelevant reasons, but i do computer repairs and electronic work when i can, and sewing, i love sewing! if i had to choose a major id say restoration and repair of anything vintage/old.
i grew up watching the g1.5 show, my little pony tales, reruns of coarse, and i had several of the episodes on tape, probably recorded from tv, but i really dont remember. i dont yet have much of a collection, as i need to find where i have my pony toys from when i was little, but currently, i have a miniature g3 toola roola figure that was gifted to me, a g4 twilight sparkle toy that was also a gift, and im doing a custom g1 pony (not from a original toy, but of a dollarstore mlp clone toy) of my namesake oc character, that is yet to be completed, i also have a collection of custom lifesize pony plushie toys that were made by myself (pattern was downloaded, and then i made probably 100s of changes to them to make them my own design). none of those are real "cannon" characters, but i do like them anyways. id have to say i have probably 6 or 7 of them so far, and 1 more currently in the works (my first g1 plushie!)
i love all generations of ponies, id love to see in real life a real "my pretty pony" from before g1 eventually! (i guess those are g0?) but if i had to choose a favorite generation of ponies, g1 would be my favorite for looks, g4 for character attributes, and g5 for story (yes, i like g5, judge me somewhere else
)
in closing of this introduction, im thankful to be accepted into this place, and i hope to see what is here, and be apart of the community! i might not be the most active, but i hope that can be forgiven. thank you all for allowing me to be apart of this
