« on: September 19, 2018, 11:15:53 AM »
Hey! i have a set of pony wear, and i've had it for a while. it is red and white striped with a white pompom trim. i have both baby and adult size that i found separately, and a sweat band accessory. i cannot seem to find it anywhere on the web!  >_< does any of you know what this is?
does not look homemade and have found pieces separately. for a fakie maybe?

Pony Corral / restoration help!
« on: September 04, 2017, 10:40:26 AM »
Hey! i have gotten quite good at this whole restoration thing (if i can say so myself) but there is one thing i am struggling pretty hard with, and that is to paint over marker stains and such on the vinyl. i use acrylic paint but cannot for the life of me get a smooth and opaque layer of paint. i have tried sponges, brushes and my finger for dabbing and building but it just gets patchy and textured or streaky
any tips?

The Dollhouse / thrift find: Modern Art Barbie dress!
« on: August 19, 2017, 10:24:58 AM »
I recently found the modern art barbie dress from the 60's in an antique store, and the owner wanted to give it to me for free(!!!)

When i first got it it had the original organza layer, but it was ripped all over and just dissolving, so i removed it. the waist band is still the original, but is very worn and i'm thinking about replacing it. the shoulder strap is replaced with new organza, its not perfect so i might redo it.
what would you do to make this dress look its best and still keeps its value? and do you have any tips on restoring doll clothes? i would love to hear!

Favorite air dry clay?

i use a doll clay, those are the ones who turn out the smoothest at least in my experience

Is there a specific brand that works better than others or are they all about the same?

i use a local brand so i dont know much about the different brands thats out there.

i only use air dry clay to be on the safe side haha
you can get a smooth complexion by rubbing water on it

It's a Barbie Rock Stars Hot Rockin' Van Rockmobile from 1986. I have no clue what the price would be with a loose one. Congrats though, and good luck!

nice!! thank you so much
i'll do some research on it. much easier now that i know the name

The Dollhouse / help! Barbie bus- name and worth
« on: August 06, 2017, 04:06:59 PM »
I got this barbie bus today, it looks a lot like both The Rockers bus, and The Star Traveler but at the same time its completely different? it is from the 80's and has the Mattel copyright. all the copyright marks also says 'FRANCE' could this be a french version or something in that direction? and what would be the worth of it?

Its probably a knock off puffalump.  There were lots of those made.

was what i thought as well! i sold it to a girl who had like a series of these when she was younger, but knockoff brands do keep production up as well i recon hahah
