Yes...thats pretty much the standard approach for HB I think ...wait for things to turn up in stores and even then dont necessarily assume it wont happen! I think we ll officially know what was released when and where around the time G5 arrives.

Update: Someone went to their TRU in NY state, and they had the box out, but empty.

Another reader of mine went to check out their TRU in Colombia, Maryland, and found them! But they had the 5-digit, longer codes on the labeling. I'll copypasta the way to crack the code from my blog.

Want to know a neat work around for the 5 digit code? Just ignore 3 of the numbers! For example, in wave 1, sparkly Rainbow Dash is number 24 on her card. Her packging code is 22445. If you just look at the second and fourth numbers, it’s _2_4_, or 24. This system works for wave 4 as well, since we have both card numbers and 5 digit codes for them. So no matter what numbers are on the wave 2 packages, you’ll be all set!

So no one has a "key" up yet for wave 3 long codes, but you don't need it with this code crack.

There is a blindbag set that's coming out for TRU and it has a few wave 2 ponies in it. I don't care about the mane 6 or the sparkly ones in wave 2 since you can get them elsewhere, but that still leaves 12 ponies!

That's weird but isn't unheard of that they are skipping wave 2 here... I think one of the places outside of the US skipped Wave 1 and another skipped another wave... so it's possible
