It seems like an oddly cruel and twisted mockery of the originals? Something you see an overpriced collectable vinyl line do to nastily make fun of childhood nostalgia?

Apparently some folk in the Uk are (I think tongue in cheek) getting riled up about this, because it's not rolling out in the UK xd. I'm just amused.

I had to google it too, the link in OP gave me some weird error about Cloudflare blocking my country or something.
And yeah I definitely see where you're coming from. I'm not sure exactly who they're aiming these at.

I thought at first this was going to be about the possibility of the Halloween buckets (McBoo, McPumpkin, McWitch) returning since the 1980's.
I have no idea why someone would think McDondald's characters with extra eyes would appeal to adults? They look like really bad Funko Pops to me and I love Funko Pops.

I'm not as much excited about the adult happy meals as I am the possibility that they may be bringing back the Halloween buckets!

Oh wow, I guess I’m in the minority of liking the crazy 4 eyed toys! I think they’re funky, they remind me of trippy street art. I’ll probably try and get my hands on at least one!
I’m also super excited for the Halloween buckets! I’m worried that will be a crazy line haha but I’ll probably try and get one of those too

I know why that is: there was a petition asking fast food outlets here to stop putting plastic toys in meals, & loads of people signed it.

It hadn't even registered w/ me that they were plastic. Do you still have plastic Happy Meal toys in the US, then? :o Over here we just get bits of cardboard and the occasional (very occasional >_<) plushie nowadays.

Oh man I'm so jealous! The toys over here have been pretty lame since that petition went through. (Well, apart from the plushies, it's been nice to see those make a return.)

I got one! I got Cactus Buddy on the first day. He was my favorite of the bunch so I’m happy with him!

Unfortunately in my quest to get the other characters I ended up with all duplicates. :mad: Soooo….I know the response to these seems to be “not impressed” on this forum but if anyone else is collecting these and wants to trade I’ve got two other cactus buddies on hand lol! I need literally any other character so I’m open to what you got!
The distribution on these seems really weird. My sister said from what she’s seen online people are getting mad duplicates of Grimace but none of the other characters. I’m wondering if each store got packages that were heavily weighted with one character over the other? My two duplicates from today came from the same store in the same order.

I don’t like McDonald’s except for breakfast so I won’t be getting these. I’d like to see the other characters though.
