What is the smell I've heard Argie ponies have?

I'm just curious, I've occasionally heard that G1 Argie Nirvana's have a "smell" to them.  What is this scent like and does anyone know what causes it?

The Argie ponies don't really have a scent, it must be the Peru ponies you are thinking of unless you are thinking of the Argie ice cream ponies who were scented (like the sweet berry ponies)

The Peru ponies have a strong scent similar to wax crayons. Greek ponies have a scent too, they smell like vanilla. The scent is just down to the plastic the ponies are made from

My Greek girl definitely has a unique smell, it is a bit like vanilla.

My dog would like to add that Colombians smell like dog toys, unlike other ponies.

I think it depends really, if they've been in a smoking home they do seem to loose there smell, but they do have a strong smell compared to a regular pony.

I've noticed my piggy ponies have a scent a bit like soap and baby powder.

The Greek one does fade, but there are enough out there that were pretty much just removed from the card that there are a lot with the scent. It's scrummy!

The Peru ones are pretty whiffy though!

I thought my Greek Moonstone had a little bit of a "weird nice odor" to her - I never could place it but now I want to around smelling my ponies!

I must have been mistaken about the region, whoops!  I didn't know that there were so many ponies that had a smell to them, and a pleasant one at that!

...I know this has nothing to do with this... but after talking about pony-smells, my kitten walked into the room and jumped on my lap and I hugged him and smelled him (is that weird?) - and I jumped back and looked at him and said, "You smell like vintage My Little Ponies!" - and it was good.

I can also vouch the Peru ponies have a deep crayon smell. My girl now lives with Zora, so she can enjoy it.

You've made me have to go whiff my argies... Ummm they smell... like... chlorine?!  Guess they're really clean! None of my Italians really smell and the Mexican is unscented as well... LOL. (maybe my sniffer is broken...)

This thread made me go open my display cabinet and smell my Medleys.  I had no idea!
