so I thought I bought a cherilee on ebay ..

I've been going a bit nuts  on ebay recently and  had bid on a  small cheerliee figure from china and won after several attempts, real nice and cheap. The box showed up today much fast than i thought it would, and felt heavier that I though it should for one tiny pony. So I crack it open and find a FS Celestia in  it

I don't mid of course..... but it was quite a surprise

Has something similar happened to others buying  ebay ponies from china?

As long as you are happy with what you received then I guess thats ok! Oh the joys of ebay sellers...

I cant say I have encountered anything quite as random as that before in buying - some unpleasant experiences yes with smoky or damaged ponies but not a completely random swap out!

Pretty cool! I kind of feel bad for whoever bought Celestia and ends up getting Cheerilee, though...

she has glitter on her wings and mark. I do kinda of wonder too if they got orders switched...but it would cost  too much for me to send it back to china >.>

You got better luck than I did. Bought an Easter Fluttershy, opened the box, it was regular. Hopefully getting a refund, though.
