The blue shooting star comb is probably to Sparkle Baby Firefly.

The orange bodysuit top is from a pak (like separates that they sold to mix and match), and I would give it a value of $5-10.  The white coat is from a winter skating set called Ice Breaker.   It looks somewhat dirty, so I would put it around $3.  The Ken outfit from two separate paks (again, a mix and match thing).  The little dress may be for a Liddle Kiddle or Heidi doll (made by Remco).  I'll keep looking and update if I find it.  :)

*Edit*
Yep, the plaid dress is a Heidi dress.  I found one on ebay.

How neat!  I have a few of the US released Tressy and friends dolls, but these are gorgeous!

The face looks a lot like other mid 1980s Barbies, but I do not think she was one that we got over here.  The dress doesn't look familiar, but it does look like others from the Best Buy series from the 1980s.  I hope that some other European collectors can weigh in on this, since I'm 99% sure she was an international release doll.

I'm glad you got some more answers, but I really think that these things happen no matter how the doll was stored.  I have some MIB dolls that still have this problem.  The wiping down idea is what I normally do with the loose dolls I have that have gotten spots.  And yes, be wary of any piece of Barbie clothing that is supposed to be "leather".  Those pieces break down extremely fast, and it's rare to find them without pieces flaking off.

If you post a pick of the doll you're trying to ID, we may be able to help.  I know there were different international releases, but a lot of the lines were the same.

I lovingly call this "80s leg disease".  It's common on a lot of doll from the 80s, including Barbie and Lady Lovely Locks.  I think it's similar to My Little Pony regrind, where the different plastics were melted down and mixed together when they were made (probably to save money), and now they're starting to separate.  Some lines are more prone to it than others.  The ones I've noticed having it a lot are the later 80s ones, such as Barbie and the Sensations, the California line, Funtime Barbie, etc.

If the one on the right has straight arms and is marked Philippines, then she is most likely Great Shape Barbie.  I'm still trying to figure out who the one in the middle is.  I have a book that lists what each body should be marked, so I'll get back to you when I have a better answer.  :)

*Edit* Crystal Barbie is marked Philippines and has lavender eyes.  Could she be the middle one?

daydreamwinn-  She is about the same size if not the exact same size.  If you like I can take that dress off and take some more pictures.  Also if your interested in the Topper I can do the same.
The pins did come out of the  Hair Fair, she currently looks like my Favorite martian with them just barely sticking in.  Do you happen to know if it would be better to take off her head and sell it by itself??
The Live Action dolls does move at the waist so that's definitive a perfect idea.

I would love to get some more pictures of those two dolls.  It up to you whether you want to separate the head from the body.  I know that good TNT bodies usually bring between $20 and $40, but because of the random holes in the head, I don't know if it would bring that much on its own.  If you do not have any other parts to sell, I would just keep them together.

The Swirl has green ear, which you can treat with Remove-Zit.  If you are planning on selling, I would just leave this alone.  However, I have started going through and treating dolls in my own collection that have this issue.

The brunette is definitely a Hair Fair head on a TNT body.  This head was sold separately with some hair pieces as a way for little girls to change up their doll's hairstyle without cutting any hair.  You can removed those pins as they are not original.  Some little girl probably added them because she thought that Barbie need earrings.

Is the blonde clone short like Skipper?  If she is a Skipper clone, I may be interested in her.  :)  I have a soft spot for the odd knock off dolls from the 60s and 70s.

The PJ (dolls in purple dress) and Ken in the crazy outfit should be loose at the waist.  The Live Action dolls were an expansion of the Living Barbie line 1969, which allowed Barbie greater movement than she had previously.

And, yes, the small doll is Angie from the Topper Dawn line from the late 1960s.  My mom collects these dolls, so I may be interested in her as well.

I can probably get you some outfit ids this afternoon, but I'm off to work at the moment!

You did VERY well.   :)  I am a major Barbie collector (managed to write two papers and a speech about her inception and social impact in college), so I would be happy to answer any questions that you have.  I can also ID the skipper sized outfits later on when I find my Skipper book.

*Edit* If you post some pictures of the ears of the Swirl, I may be able to give you some advice about cleaning her.  However, if you're planning on selling anyway, it may just be best to leave it up to the new owner.

Do the two dolls on the right have country markings on their bodies?  Dream Glow Barbie should be marked Taiwan.  I think the one in the middle is Peaches and Cream Barbie, and she should be marked Philippines.

Wow!  Yes, you do in fact have something!  The most valuable doll in the lot is probably the blonde ponytail toward the bottom of the picture.  She looks to be a platinum swirl and is from 1963-64.  You also have two vintage Skippers, a Skooter, and Ricky dolls.  The Ken at the top is a Live Action doll, as is the PJ (blonde doll) in the middle of the box.  The male in the blue shirt and the doll at the top look to be from the Heart family, and I think the other two dolls are knock-offs/clones.  *Edit - the brunette doll is genuine Barbie, most likely a Hair Fair head on a Twist n Turn body, or simply a TNT with a haircut.  Most of your clothing looks to be genuine as well.  Check for black and white embroidered tags inside the outfits.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay?  The swirl alone could sell for over $100 if she has no major issues.

Gorgeous collection!!!!! That twist n turn is amazing! :dribble:

I usually keep dolls boxed too...I think if I just open it and take the plastic off her head but keep her in the box..... Do you think that's ok? :) like I said before I'll never sell because it has sentimental value.

I think it would be fine.  If it was a doll that I knew for sure I was going to keep, moving things around in the box for cosmetic issues sounds like a better choice than deboxing.  :)

I love that one!  As I go through phases of my Barbie collecting, the repro Barbies always seem to be the ones I never want to part with.  There are a lot of really neat releases out there, but here are some of my favorites.

I have this actual vintage dress, but I just love the little accessories in this set!

I really wanted this set when it first came out, but it was way too expensive for my parents to buy for me.  A few years ago, I hunted one down on ebay.

This is my favorite release from the My Favorite Barbie line.  I have all of the single dolls from this set (only missing the Wedding Day set), but this doll is just gorgeous.

As for deboxing or not, that's really up to you.  Are you planning on using her to display other outfits?  Do you have other dolls that you keep MIB?  I am an in box collector, so that's how I keep most of my dolls.  Then again, I have my vintage Barbies to dress up and play with.   ^.^  All these recent Barbie threads have reminded me that I haven't taken any pictures of dolls I've gotten in the past two years.  I really need to get on that!
