Nice rehair .l look forward to seeing her finished. What theme are you thinking of going for?
The big hair reminds me of Jem! And the Holograms, so maybe the Glamour & Glitter Ponies. The eye makeup and star ear ring as a symbol would help distinguish her from being Pinky Pie. And I can modify some other sparkle ponies or some HQG1Cs to be other ponies in the imaginary line. I know Pizzazz was a Misfits character, but it sounds like a great pony name to me. Plus, the alliteration of Pink Pizzazz...  Ahh! I'm excited now! Thanks for making me do this mental exercise!

I took a bait- ish Year 7 Stardancer from eBay (it had a hair cut) and with some HQG1C Nylon Hair - Pink Pop (Curly) that I steamed into just wavy. I think the end result unintentionally looks like Sparkle Pinky Pie. I like the monochromatic color scheme, so I might re-paint the eye to pink too and come up with a distinct symbol, to distinguish her as her own unique character, but for now, she's Pinky Pie. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Of course! I got it from LadyMoonDancer's Tumblr; https://heckyeahponyscans.tumblr.com/post/175971871278. I cut out the image, erased the background, and did some recoloring/adjusting, so it matched my childhood Twisty Tail a little bit better, then erased the background and then cropped it.

I'm doing my first custom from an HQG1 blank. The tail was relatively easy to secure with elastic and zip ties, but the head took 2 hours. I secured the hair with fabric tack glue, but I still get some hair strands slide out when I try to comb it. I've added more, but I'd welcome any suggestions on how to make the hair brushable and not fall out of her head. I'd also love to hear opinions on the color scheme and name symbol suggestions. While Target has been our biggest supporter over the past few years, they have removed the line from their Retro area in toys for the time being. We are working with them to reinstate in the future.

Howdy! I’m Jonathan and I live in Austin, Texas, USA. I work in marketing as a brand manager. I attended my first My Little Pony convention, Pony Friends Forever, last weekend in San Antonio and learned about the existence of this forum from @WingsOfMasquerade. (Someone else at the convention said my pony name should be Dazzler because of my crystal/rhinestone shoes I was wearing and I agreed.) My parents gave me some of my childhood g1 ponies from their attic (A lot are in rough shape.), but my collection also includes the Basic Fun ponies from Target and finds from sellers at the Pony Friends Forever convention.
