Its time consuming yes, but once you see it/catch it it worth it! Right now I am working on Cobalion, he is one I have been trying to get for a long time.

im kicking myself! I broke down and decided to buy the mew and celebi tcg boxes... then at the start of the month i saw a ton of jerachi boxes at target... figured, oh im still finding tons of mew and celebi boxes so surely ill have time to get jirachi.... Now I havent been able to find a single one anywhere for the past 2 weeks. uuugh, I hope I find them soon lol. (I did the exact same thing with the splatoon amiibo 3 pack back when it first released xD took me months to finally find it again) I should know better lol.

it took me the better part of 4 days to get shiny Giratina , worth it tho.

yeah that annoyed me,
I did  find out something cool with him tho.
you don't have to catch the lake trio and then catch Dialga and Palkia in the gen 6 games.
if you have gen 4 pokmon moved over using the pokemon transporter  the gen 4 Dialga and Palkia still trigger the event for Giratina

I still need to catch the 3 beasts of jhoto , I was plaing on going for their shinies as i have their normal  forms moved up from older games.  a lot of the legendaries I didn't bother with tho and just caught them as normals so to get them shiny i'd either have to restart my game or  pick up another game and start a new file.

both options seam like so much work tho.

After a LOT a transferring with the bank and a little trading and evolving I got my shiny charm in OR over the weekend. I caught a shiny Wailmer this morning!!!!! My first shiny from chaining.

I've gotten 3 shiny Giratina through the Wonder Trade. I traded one for a shiny Lapras, but I still have one more I'd be willing to part with. Shiny for shiny.

I got a shiny giratina from a Pokemon event at GameStop! Same with a palkia, although palkia looks slightly pink but pretty much the same.

sadly tho most of my legendaries end up with the box rot tho.
they get boxed and almost never used again.
