I doodled a little something inspired by the 20th anniversary and thought this would be the place to share it. The five starters (technically) and the Pokemon of the month. I need to make a proper BG and finish the eyes (I always forget something important  ).

It's just what they do for exclusive events. When the Pokemon 10th Anniversary tour was going around I got a special free card for attending the tour at the space center in Houston that has a logo on the art like that.

From what I understand, the freebies are for kids only above the age of six. Which is silly for a franchise that's turning 20.

Well that's some blatant age-ism right there. :/ And what about 4 or 5 year-olds who play the games and collect the cards? I know they exist. Anyway. Also, I heard there was some joke going around on Reddit where an adult tried to get his kid into Pokemon and his kid said that it was a "grown-up" game. B)

I wish I could get the cards, but there's no Toys R Us anywhere near me, anyway.

ya my son collected the cards when he was little, and hes still more interested in the cards than the games. Hes 12 now so it doesn't really matter, xD but when he was younger than 6 he was already into the cards lol.

If the TRU even is just for kids I'm going to be disappointed I may have to call that morning and ask if a 'parent could pick up the cards for a sick child'

Also congrats nemubones on the Mew find   Does anyone know when they are going to be gone from stores completely? I'm still hoping to find one before they are unavailable.

Hehe that reminds me of an article I read months ago: in Japan, Yokai Watch is very popular with kids, and I believe they asked some kids on why they liked the series so much. Some kids said that it was because not alot of adults liked it compared to Pokemon, and how the adult Pokemon fans made it hard for them to get some (Pokemon) merchandise since they were so many of them. So the kids moved onto Yokai Watch. xD

Guys! The Mew plush is available for order through the Gamestop website now, and it seems to work! (My order just went through). Assuming that nothing goes wrong and they don't end up canceling orders (looking at you, amiibo >.>) then anyone who is still looking for it should have a chance at picking it up

I mentioned the TRU Pokémon day earlier in this thread, but woe it's awesome to see pictures of the cards!!!! I'm soooooo glad my SIL works there! She can nab me a poster and some cards!

I'm going to check out GameSpot again, they know my voice on the phone by now haha!

Wow, ive got two mew plush in stock in Arlington! Thats only 13 ish miles away from me right now, thats close if I take the highway! Im at the Korean spa right now in Grapevine about to get my tiny size five feet massaged xD
