You have to use the Mew cards by May so you can't wait too long. And some of these are on the Nintendo Network, including the next one (Celebi in March). So if you want them all, you may not want to put it off passed then.

Same! I know we had AS/OR from the previous year, but as someone who isn't a big fan of Gen 3, I was pretty bored with those games after I finished the main storyline. So I've been itching for something new from Pokemon for a while now.
Oh I definitely agree about R/S/E being the weaker entries in the series. I think they had some great strong points: The region, the music, and the tweaks that really made gameplay a thousand times better such as the Pokemon PC box system. However, I just didn't like them as much... I think I really hated how they took away the day/night system and pressed a 'reset' button on the story, which I really enjoyed how G/S/C were sequels to R/B/Y.
I'm glad I'm not alone! Back in the day, it was actually the popular opinion, but somewhere down the line it seems like things changed drastically and R/S/E became VERY popular while G4 and G5 received a lot of hate I feel is undeserved.
So if I was to go out and buy one of the new games for this event (the newest one I have is Pokemon Black) and I do have at least one game from each generation up to that point, which game would you recommend? Alpha, Omega, X or Y? (Keeping in mind that I have the original Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald games.)
Okay so either X or Y seems to be the consensus. Are there major differences in those games like how Black and White had different areas (Black City & White Forest) or are they more like the older games where the only difference is which pokemon you could catch?

I really do think it'd be neat for them to release a new game of some sort this year, for the 20th anniversary of the franchise. Like... Pokemon Snap for the Wii U is a thing that needs to happen, just sayin'. :lol: I just want them to go all out with merchandise and things like that for the anniversary. I'm looking forward to any more announcements about what they plan to do this year.

Ummm.... I think you may still be a bit confused. You get a card from Gamestop on it that has a code that lets you acquire the legendary pokemon (in this case Mew) for the game X, Y, OmegaRuby, or AlphaSapphire. It's not a trading card type card. It's just a card with a code, because really that makes more sense than having a bunch of people taking up the limited space inside the GameStop stores trying to download pokemon, like they used to. The card for Mew can only be gotten from GameStop in February, but the card can be activated (entered into the game to get the Mew) anytime until May.

I have a whole box full of pokemon to transfer from Y to OS. I don't have pokemon bank (im sorry. If I buy something its mine! None of this 'pay us this much each month or year', even if it is a service)

Trying to complete the ORAS dex..I find it odd how there are a few that you don't naturally see or cant catch in there..like the third starter you and your rival (wait..friend) doesn't pick, the other version of the games legendaries, or the other Lati.
I asked a friend to get me the starter I haven't seen but it might take a bit, and I might have to bug my brother to 'show me' the other lati/legendary since he has ruby just to complete the stupid thing.
Other thing I really don't get..why people give away pokemon that look like they may be hacked in wonder trade or gts. I don't have pokemon bank so it doesn't effect me but I feel bad for those that rely on pokemon bank to shift their pocket monsters between games.

Well, I had to go to the bank so popped my head in and I ended up getting the card. Didn't ask for 2 but I brought my dad with me so atleast my brother has one now. My bf went today. The first GameStop had no cards and the second would only give him one. We are going to try a different GameStop in the next few days to try and get our second code. This bugs me, since you can get Pikachu at other stores (even if its a variant position or that TRU exclusive one), but Mew is an exclusive to GameStop. You'd think they'd make more of them due to how popular Mew is, especially for Mew month.

So I got my shiny tag and I've been fishing up shinies. It's so fun and relaxing. I will definitely get another Mew, just because I like Mew. I don't really need another one, though, so when I pick up a code card I plan on sharing it.

I have been thinking about making real-like shiny charm keychains with some embroidery cord, a cell phone tasle, and some clay! That way when Pokemon Go comes out haha I will look like a total dork xD

Are you sure?In Florida my stores they are SUPER tiny, I got my mew plush when they restocked. Lucky enough I called when they were unboxing them.
Like I said, there were 6 plushies at the store my BF went to--and that was after they announced they would be restocking.

There's new pokemon content on both Splatoon and Mario Maker to celebrate the 20th anniversary if you guys play those games. In splatoon the upcoming splatfest is pokemon red vs pokemon blue and mario maker launched an event course where you can get costumes of the original three starters for your game.
Ooh, the new movie sounds great! I love Gardevoir, so that'll be really exciting! I need to catch up on the other movies -- I haven't seen all of the most recent ones, and the first few movies I haven't seen in yeeeeears. Thankfully (I think?) they're finally re-releasing the first movie! I could also just rent it on Amazon right now if I wanted to...

The Mystery Gift system works like in Generation V. One notable difference is that all non-Nintendo Zone local events are no longer region-locked. The maximum amount of Wonder Cards a game can hold is now 24. In order to use Mystery Gift, the game must have a save file.
So a GameStop near me that I went to yesterday didn't have the Mew plush, but one of the workers was nice enough to see if any others in the area had Mew. Only one did, but it's an hour away. Since I've been having a very crappy weekend, my husband called that GameStop today and they said they still had the plush.
Drove an hour out there just for them to say "Oh, we thought you meant the Mew figure." They didn't have those either, btw. :pout: Mind you, the weather is terrible. My husband did this because he said he wanted me to be happy, which I haven't been lately.
I've also tried asking at every GS we go to about restocks, and they've all told me that they don't know anything about restocks on things like plushies.
I'm so over this hunt. The Mew plush was literally the only 20th anniversary merch I've wanted so far, but I can't even get it. *flips over all the tables* I'm ready to give my money to a Chinese seller on eBay, because if this is indicative of how the rest of this year will go trying to get these plushies, then I don't even care.
On the plus side, I've been playing more Y version lately. I forgot just how much I love gen 6.

Apparently they had the figures, but had just sold the last one before we got there. So I guess I don't totally blame them for that.If they knew you were coming, they still could have held the figure for you or something, you know? Showed that they listened and didnt want you to come there for nothing.

Thank you so much for this info! Sadly there are no Mew plushies anywhere near me. I think the closest was another hour drive away- and I have to say I'm pretty bummed at the thought of driving that far again for no reason. I'll still keep refreshing that search, though!

Hehe that reminds me of an article I read months ago: in Japan, Yokai Watch is very popular with kids, and I believe they asked some kids on why they liked the series so much. Some kids said that it was because not alot of adults liked it compared to Pokemon, and how the adult Pokemon fans made it hard for them to get some (Pokemon) merchandise since they were so many of them. Guys! The Mew plush is available for order through the Gamestop website now, and it seems to work! (My order just went through). Assuming that nothing goes wrong and they don't end up canceling orders (looking at you, amiibo >.>) then anyone who is still looking for it should have a chance at picking it up :D

It makes sense why we wouldn't get a third game for the remakes, since FireRed/LeafGreen and SoulSilver/HeartGold didn't have a third counterpart, but I agree about the main series of games. I also kinda get why they did Black 2/White 2 and not Grey, but that still would've been cool. In any case, it would be weird to just have two games for gen 6. They started a formula and I got used to it!
I honestly forgot about fire and leaf and heart and soul, which is sad because I loved them. So yeah, the remakes make sense being just 2. And the only thing I didnt like about black and white 2 was the name. I felt like they didn't even try with it, and it was weird getting two of them.
Whatever the next Pokemon game is, it BETTER have the ability to let us change our clothes again.

It's hard to say what they would do. I assume that, with all the legendary distribution this year, that transfer between the games will be possible. I feel like they wouldn't make it a 'bank transfer only' option, since it is a paid service and not everyone wants it or has it. On the other hand, I could see them making it bank only because.... its a paid service and they would want that revenue. But they've been pretty good with the way they've always handled pokemon transfers and trading, so I hope for the best.

I keep trading all my ORAS pokemon over to it- it will be a pain asking to trade and trade back darkrai, arceus, and shaymin on my pokemon chatango board on a pokemon forum im on...but I WILL make it! I NEEED shiny charm for both my gen 6 games! I want that shiny dratini and shiny lapras!

I caught both of them, plus a shiny Relicanth that I got first through that chain fishing method, which is, of course, a lot less special.
Awww, Lala I love your Eevee and Absol! I'm a filthy hacker so my shinies are all made in Pokegen(I don't think it's a big deal since I don't give them any ridiculous attacks or anything like that). Still, I love them just the same as my others~

Actually that makes you luckier than me! Finding shinies without a shiny charm is craaaaazy good luck! I tried shiny hunting since AS came out and i have only been able to find a shiny Ralts (to my luck it was a female) and before that a random shiny carvanah without the shiny charm! I stil lthink chain fishing is special- even magikarp! :heart:

My husband calls Celebi 'celery' so now I call it that. It isn't that he can't pronounce it, he just likes celery better because he thinks its funny, and he also thinks Celebi looks like celery. He's such a weirdo.
I saw someone on Instagram post a picture of the Celebi pin and special card, and it's soooo cute! I was trying to figure out how they got it already and apparently they ordered it from Amazon. Hopefully that box starts showing up in stores soon!

That celebi box is out, I mentioned that in this thread but it probably got buried xD its been out at Barnes and Nobles since the new one came out! I saw it but didn't buy it, they should be popping up everywhere by now! My work is stocking them later on today!

I'm still kinda sad that netflix seems to have taken down all the pokemon anime they had right at the start of the anniversary rofl, which is annoying because i was halfway through bw with a friend. :/ So were starting over and are watching what they have of indigo league for now.They did?! I didn't even notice. I was watching the original series, but only sparingly. :/ I did notice that XY is up, though, and I want to start watching that.

Yea :/ they used to have a lot of movies as well as the bw and i THINK one other anime series? Now they only have the indigo league, xy movie and xy series. :c My son and I really enjoyed watching them together also.

I am in LOVE with the Pokemon charms, and I wish that the US online store carried more (the Eevee family set is to die for; they are soooo pretty). I would love to own more of the legendary ones (the birds and Lugia specifically. Drool worthy lol). I wasn't sure how much I was going to love Noivern when I ordered it, but it looks soooo much better in real life than pictures show.
Just saw the cutest sticker set and, although it features Pikachu, I still need it because of the adorable Furret and Ampharos stickers on the sheet. Sadly I have no idea where to even begin looking for this set and the person who posted it hasn't answered anyone who asked where she got it. Ugh! -_-

What's funny with the safari zone the shiny charm doesn't work. Though what's nice you always have a 1 out of 500 chance of finding a one :3Aren't those the rates with the Friend Safari in XY? I keep reading on somogon that the Safari Zone in ORAS doesn't have the 1/500 encounter rate. I know the shiny charm doesn't work with the MM in hatching eggs, just with wild Pokemon! If there is a 1/500 shiny rate in the safari zone without the charm I've had bad luck before I got the charm! xD
The only shiny I ever caught at the Friend Safari was a Slugma. Coolest looking shiny I have ever owned - looks like liquid metal. xD I named her Metallia.

No shiny luck this weekend...tried fishing, tried hordes, tried (and failed at) more chaining. And I bred a box and a half of Shinx, but didn't expect results from that yet, haha.Thank you and please keep trying! I promise persistance will give you a shiny-even without a shiny charm! Are yoy using the Masuada Meyhod for eggs? You will need two of the same pokemon from different parts of the world IRL (i may be abke to help as i collect eevee, vivilian, and pikachu!) and that will really inctease those odda! For fiahing fish inbetween patches of water inbetween or adjacent to those bug rocks!

I know a method some people do is save in front of the breeder. Then grab 5 eggs, hatch them, no shiny? Restart your game and repeat, so not having a whole box of Pokémon.That's brilliant! Whenever I tried hatching for a shiny in the past I always got annoyed at how fast the boxes would fill up.

My perfect eevee project was not that bad. I screwed up a bit on the ev training but hatching what I wanted didn't take very long.

There is a Pokemon-related TRU event tomorrow, where they'll be giving out a Meowth and Clefairy card. :D It' seems to be a "trade and collect with other Pokemon fans" kind of thing.

I just bought Omega Ruby having already gotten a Jirachi on my copy of Pokemon X. If you like, I can try to get a second Jirachi on my new game and hold it for you until you get your own copy. I don't need two.

This guy is my pride and joy! He's actually a replacement, as my original one got thrown out by my 1st stepdad as a kid (thank bleeep my mom divorced him!). I got this lugia off eBay back when I first moved to Texas! I cleaned out his battery compartment and put in some batteries and he still roars and sings! :heart: probably my favorite toy EVER as a kid to now! This is the only way to get these birds and you will only receive one code which gives one of the birds at random. You need to sign up for it on the official site by April 22nd to receive the newsletter

I love shiny jirachi! Though that one doesn't seem legit.
And after trading for my shiny boy Pikachu named Pikachu...... I hatched a shiny boy Pichu 10 or so eggs later...... Go figure..... So now I have 2 shiny boy Pikachus!!!!
You have a better chance of getting a shiny IIRC if you breed two pokemon from different regions.
Such as a Japanese Ditto and a US region Pikachu, for example.

If you have Pokemon in the bank when your subscription expires, what happens? Would you still be able to retrieve them? Would you need to purchase an extra year? Are they gone forever? I think in Canada it's $7, which is still not bad. I just don't really think it's worth it if the only purpose is to transfer Pokemon to trade out (though I guess I wouldn't need to bother someone with holding my team to restart X either).

I personally say it's worth it ($7 for a year, in your case) but keep in mind that IIRC once you transfer Pokemon from a 5th gen game to PokeBank, they can't be transfered back to that game.
But you can freely transfer Pokemon between the 6th gen games and Bank (XY and ORAS).
In my PokeBank now, I have all my good Pokemon from 3rd, 4th, and 5th gen games...but a honorable mention goes to the four individual Pokemon that wouldnt transfer over into Bank for some reason (Manaphy, Darkrai,Arceus, and a legendary bird, IIRC). Guess they couldnt pass the "hack check", even though I am pretty sure at least one of those is a legit Event Pokemon.

When I went to GameStop, I had to ask the worker there about the Darkrai stuff, and she pulled everything out from the back for me.
My GameStop had everything still. The girl there offered me the plush but Darkrai isn't my favorite so I thought I'd leave it for someone that really wants it (hopefully not a scalper). Too bad it wasn't Shaymin. I'm just happy to get the code cards.

So I got two Darkrai codes at GS yesterday, but I missed the birds. I thought I was signed up for the Pokemon newsletter, but I can't find it in my inbox! (I'll have to do a better search later.) I did really want those birds...

Ok, so my computer tech is a little out dated. I'm still using Windows XP and connect my 3DS to the internet with the Wi-Fi USB Connector. Well, it looks like my USB Connector has DIED! :wail:
Comcast has been bugging me to upgrade my modem anyway. I already sent them a request for a new one. Their newer ones have a Wi-Fi router built in. But it might be more than two weeks before I get Wi-Fi again. :cry: I hope I don't miss any downloads. I may have to drag mom to McDonald's next weekend to use their Wi-Fi.

Since they did a GameStop code this month and released the XYZ legendaries via the internet and the three birds via newsletter code, do you suppose they'll do something similar in August when we have to get a GameStop code for Arceus? Ooh, maybe they'll do Ho-oh and Lugia or Suicune, Entei and Raikou.

Well for total newbies to Pokemon, the games would be helpful. I've managed to figure some of them out but then I've played a few games. But since there are so many remakes, I don't know if some people are going to know the difference between R/B and R/S and such. It took some googling a while ago to figure out what some of the acronyms were game wise since I've only ever played Leaf Green, Diamond, and Black.
But my main confusion is with the in game and other terms I've seen.

Its not irrelevant. It exists in Canada and is the same store as Gamestop. They renamed it to EB Games..im not sure how long ago, but its still referred to as EB.

You're one of us now! :lol::frolic: It'll be on the 31st (my job pays at the end of the month) with hopes of my Mew code still working. My only thing now is to to figure out if I want ORAS or XY. I really can't decide because they both sound like they have things I'd be interested in. I'd probably get the other one later this year, but am looking for something to play this summer. And yes, Sun and Moon if I like the other games. I'm still waiting to see the starter evolutions even though so far I'm picking this guy.

Dunno if it's been said yet, but according to Serebii the shiny Xerneas will be distributed via code at gamestops in Norway, Finland, and Sweden. The code has to be redeemed by Dec 31st. :)

Lol! My old roommate did that with the shiny Raikou event. She had bought Soul Silver at the start of the event and just had to manipulate the system. We lived not even five minutes away from EB so she kept restarting, going to EB to get Raikou, trade it over to my game and repeat. I think I still have some of her Raikou on my game that she needs to take back. She was too impatient to wait for the Entei and Suicune events.
I've done it before and I'll do it again. That's how I got my 18 Mew I have that I can't trade anymore. I got Mew on my Emerald game from a TRU event and used that cloning glitch to make dozens of him. Back in the Gen 4 and Gen 5 days I could ask for anything I wanted on the GTS. Then Kenai gave me his Game Cube disk that let's you download Jirachi. I did the same with that one.
I missed out on all the shiny legendary dogs events. If you or your friend can get them moved over to a newer game, I'd gladly trade for one. (Once I get my WiFi working of course.)

Exciting! Doesn't give you much time to decide on a game though. I'm still not a fan of X, but I do have the unpopular opinion here. I still haven't gotten ORAS either, but I dunno, as much as I liked Hoenn, I haven't really heard anything convincing that I need to upgrade my Emerald. Flying on the Latis seems like so much fun though, so there's that; oh, and secret bases are back and that was one of the best parts of RSE for me. :biggrin: Tough choice to make for sure. I hope your Mew card will still work, I can give you a Celebi if you needed one.

I think everyone here already got one from the codes in Feb, but it is a nice second chance in case someone needs one (you can only redeem one Mew total). What if you delete the Wonder Card for the previous Mew? Will that trick it into thinking you don't have it yet?

Deleting the wonder card, ONLY deletes the wonder card, it has no affect on your game and it will still know that you received that pokemon even if the card is deleted.

So excited! just caught my second shiny Ever! ( first was waaaay back in Crystal when I got a psyduck). Funny, because I was working on collecting Pokemon to trade to fill out my dex for a shiny charm and then up pops a shiny wurmple. Not the most exciting Pokemon, but still shiny! Could someone help me with trade evolutions for my living dex? I have 7 of them all ready to go, but I worry about not getting them back! I just breed dex fillers, not competitive pokemon, but i have almost all the common pokemon, and could beed some as a thank you :)

Ah, has anyone seen this? The Pokemon 20th website has a 'what type are you' quiz. One of the questions is 'where are there too many zubats?' I love that.
The first time, I ended up as a grass type. Not the first type I would have thought of but I'd say is pretty fitting for me. Going back and taking it a second time (I couldn't choose between some answers) resulted in electric so Grass/Electric dual type. That doesn't exist yet, but I like it.

So it was roughly a 160 hour battle (give or take, since I took breaks with the game on) but I finally completed my Pokedex (or I did three days ago, but I couldn't get any confirmation until I unlocked the National Dex). :lol: Well, I'm technically still four Pokemon short (Shaymin, Arceus, Keldeo, and Volcanion), and at least three of them are guaranteed events coming out. Thank you so much Pikashoes and Aliyahbetd for helping me with a few dex entries. :grouphug:

Honestly I don't think I'm a huge fan of the easier shiny odds, it just doesn't feel as special, though, I guess finding my Azure so fast was a fluke. But I at least have to go hunt down a shiny Minccino to reclaim the one I caught in Black before my cart was stolen.

Oh, good luck! I was the same deciding last minute that I wanted to complete the dex before Gen 7. Sounds like you've already made a good dent. I'm going to slowly work on collecting a living dex next, so if there are any Pokemon you need help with, I'll do what I can to lend a hand.

Garchomp is a super disappointment...
Volcanion's not available yet.....He is In Japan, he is just REALLY hard to come by legitimately.
But it's not tradable... it's a special pokemon. No GTS trades. So, can't get him in Western countries...No event pokemon can be traded over gts or wonder trade because of their ribbon. But people do have him and can be traded if you are friends with them :)
Finally Shaymin! Now I just need the gen 5 mythicals and Volcanion, and my Pokedex will be complete... Say, has there been a Volcanion event yet?
Is it weird that I found the Arceus 20 Anniversary Plush at Gamestop in Germany this weekend? I got him... also because we dont get these plush here...

I'm guessing he's going to be a GameStop exclusive, as will Genesect. It seems the "not so cute" (except Mew) legendaries are getting GS exclusivity as far as the figures and plushies go, plus there's a pattern to it, I've noticed.

I wouldn't worry too much if you haven't found the Shaymin plush yet, tbh. Toys R Us has it listed on their site right now and I assume it'll actually be purchasable soon. For reference, they still have the Manaphy plush up from last month on the site and I've seen several of them in stores still. If you don't grab a Shaymin right away, just give it time! The Pokemon plushies at TRU have to proven to be far easier to get than the ones at GameStop- at least in my case.
I found the Shaymin one as well at Gamestop Germany together with Arceus. I'm not sure if that's normal...
I snagged a Shaymin plush while I was out today! Though I do agree with you, Rainbowrific Renia; the TRU ones seem to be MUCH easier to come across. I just had to get Shaymin though; I love it's little round shape and the flowers. It's so adorable! Also got Pokemon Go and I can't wait to try it out. For sure I plan to go out walking every where tomorrow :D

same... well my old phone isnt too good anymore, in fact its damaged a bit so we decided that I need a new phone and bought one today... turns out it has no compass -_- so new phone but still no Pokemon Go for me. Will return it tomorrow since Pokemon Go isnt the only thing I cant use without the compass... *sigh*
But then again, I just read how much the ingame money for buying pokeballs and stuff costs in germany and decided that its a little too pricey for me to really play it. Ill stick to my DS then :)

You don't have to buy pokeballs, you get some when you level up as well as from pokestops (which you can click on every 5 mins or so) so you would probably just want to avoid catching doubles, Einhornbaby. :)
The thing is... you will need to catch doubles to train your pokemons (I had read it somewhere, cant find it now), so like to train your Charmander you need to catch more Charmanders to earn these things... charms or something that you need to train your poke. Maybe I got that wrong.
On Serebii they mention a shiny Mewtwo that you can get a serial code as a "Play! Pokémon Participation Gift" Anyone know how to do this? xD Or if anyone did get one that theyre willing to part with? Im trying to get a couple for me and some friends. I have no idea what this feature is though lol.

If I understood it right, you had to go participate in an official Video game event before July 10th. By participating, it meant that you would be sent a code sometime... this month? (Don't quote me on that part, I can't remember).

If you're playing XY and have access to reflection cave, the Roggenrola in there have a 50% chance of holding an everstone, you could farm them for items.

ORAS is a great game to play I think :) It has a nice story, a lot to doo and such. Definitely worth to play :)

Oh neat! Our EB Games has lots of Pokemon plush and apparel, but I've never seen any mugs. To be fair, I would have walked out with ten too! Especially if they had mugs focusing on Unova starters. :P

Oh, unevolved challenge sounds so much fun! While it wasn't a challenge, my first playthrough of X, I took two NFE Pokemon to the E4, and in my recent playthrough, I only forced myself to evolve my Zorua near the end because I needed Zoroark's dex entry. Unevolved Pokemon are usually just cuter, and I like cute. :P I'm wondering if I should start over (I'm not that far anyway) and do one myself now. All this Minccino talk makes me want to use one.....

Oh Victini... I got all excited because besides Volcanion, the mythical gen 5 pokemon are the only ones I'm missing from my living dex. As it turns out, Victini is the only one I did get already, so I'll have to wait another month for something new... Admittedly not such a bad problem to have, but still :shakefist:
Did anyone get the BAB Eevee? I tried to get one today but they'd sold out, from what they said I think they put them out before the official release date :( Hopefully I'll be able to get one later. I'm so glad they're making more BAB Pokemon! I hope they make looots like they did with the MLP line :D

Pokemon chocolate surprise eggs! I didn't buy one because there were only two or three Pokemon from the set I would be interested in, but definitely was neat to see. I didn't know there was a Pokemon set of choco eggs.

It's so dumb that Genesect doesn't have a figure. I was looking forward to one, especially since my husband has a small collection of Genesect things. I told him that I almost want to sell all the other figures because it'll forever bother me that only ONE Pokémon is missing.
I don't collect the figures myself, but it bugs me too. Why would ONE Pokemon get excluded? :mad: I like Genesect a lot (first bug legendary) so seeing it get shafted makes me sad.
I still need to get my code, I did go to an EB Monday morning but they hadn't received their shipment of Genesect anything yet.
Not related to legendaries, I found this plush at the local comic book store yesterday, and I'm so tempted! (spoilered because image is huge)
It's an onlyfactory plush, and looks so cuddly. I may end up going back tomorrow for it. I also saw this, and since there was mention of Pokeball to Pokemon plush...this looks so cute.
I bought that Growlith plush for Kenai years ago. He absolutely loves it! When we saw them at a con, he was tempted to buy a second one just because he likes it that much!

Under the spoiler, my party and reasons not to:SpoilerTorterra: I don't usually keep starters unless I like them a lot, and Torterra fits in this category. I want to fight until the Elite 4 with him!
Rotom: This is one of my "permanent" party members because I like Rotom a lot and it's going nowhere
Lucario: I've never played with Lucario in a "core" Pokémon game before and now that he learnt Aura Sphere... it's hard to let him go
Lopunny: Okay, this looks like an easy one because Lopunny is weak, but let me tell you, this one is not: he has survived both Cyrus' deadly Pokemon and Giratina's attacks! And it saved my party's butt many times with Charm and Return

also I LOOVE when you get a "weak" pokemon who actually turns out to actually be a big fighter. xD My friend and I are playing XY through again but only using unevolved pokemon, with a limit of ONE pokemon who does not have an evolution. I have a joltik that just kicks butt xD and even though hes not really one of the weakest, were definitely finding some typically weak pokemon "gems" in our training. :p
