The glitter symbols are coated for protection (it seems). It doesn't affect their look.
The ponies themselves are harder than the originals.
I have a question: did Bridge Direct make all the collector pose ponies? I got a Blossom the other day and noticed it said Bridge Direct and not Basic Fun.
Yes, I was wondering where the Bridge Direct came into it, too - I've never really understood exactly what their involvement in the repros is/was
Bridge Direct and Basic Fun are the same company, Bridge Direct just changed their name

I strongly believe curls can drastically change a pony. Just look at PL Twilight: She looks so different now!
She looks adorable! I've been wanting to get my hands on one of the PL ponies, how's their hair quality is it any better or worse than g3.5?
It depends on the pony;Trixie and Twilight’s mane were soooo silky, but Potion Nova has really thick and nice hair. But it doesn’t compare to the G3.5 hair

They look really good!
Anyone else got reminded of Filly Funtasia by the artstyle they’re using? I really like it and hope it’s used for G5! More horselike and MLP-esque than G4/G4.5 imo

If they were Basic Fun, they would’ve been mentioned in the desc., right? I wouldn’t be surprised since they did ST Applejack, but this seems like a Hasbro idea to me.

Twinkle Twirl is possibly one of my favorite G3 ponies. She has a special place in my collection considering she was one of the first G3 we bought off eBay along with Citrus Sweetheart. She’s pretty cute with an almost-unique color scheme. Star Catcher would’ve gotten my vote if her wings weren’t so commonly found in a terrible state. Loop-de-la and Glitter Glide had a fun concept. If only their skates were removable without destroying them or their bases were as common as their respective ponies. Sigh.

Have her! One pf my earliest G3 finds I thought she was a fakie at first since she was so... plain. Her hoof magnet said otherwise. Might post a pic later.

Most of the ones I see online have been in rough condition; it’s refreshing to see some in nice condition for a change! I do have her; I rehaired mine since her hair was in such horrid condition! Wish I could do something about the gashes in her NDS though

Is BF using fading pink for the repros?
I haven't noticed any fading on Snuzzle yet...
Did Snuzzle originally have fading pink? AFAIK My Confetti’s streak is still pretty pink.

Armies are fun! As long as they’re not built to spite other collectors, that is. I have an accidental army myself, actually. I should get a picture once I gather ALL of my Applejacks, Pinkie Pies and Twilights

I forget Crunch Berry even exists. She is underrated and her color scheme should’ve been more... interesting? Feels like it’s just Shady under a new identity This whole set is very pretty, but a LOT of their names and color schemes are bleh. However, their white/purple Mexican and Alt. Hair/German variants are gorgeous!

I got Potion Nova and Trixie recently, and you’re correct, their hair is really soft! However, my Trixie’s hair was closer to the way you described your Nova’s hair rather than your Trixie’s hair if that makes any sense (the only difference is that my Trixie had thinner hair than PN’s)
On a related note, I love these ponies (and the hair quality), but from what I’ve seen of the gimmick-y large ponies (Rarity) and the blind bags (bottles?), they’re pretty disappointing imo. The size is quite lacking, they’re as tall as a G1 baby pony. Hopefully the “Fashion Style” sized ones will take on the same great hair quality as the brushables.

Possibly the best out of the whole line was the early (pre-Crystal Empire) G4 waves; nice mix of new and old characters (Blossomforth, Lily Blossom, Diamond Rose, etc.) with very nice, soft and silky hair, not to mention the amount of accessories they included (usually a comb, pet and saddle/luggage) compared to the accessories they came with post-Crystal Empire brushables (sure, they had tinsel, but is that even a gimmick anymore?). The Fashion Styles were pretty amazing too, like LaW said, big and sturdy with very nice hair. Possibly the set I would nominate for being closest to show-accurate would be the FoE set that came out last year. Heck, FoE Cadence looked even more accurate (and nicer!) than her first release as Pony Wedding Castle Cadence! Luna was finally a somewhat accurate color! Minty! If their hair was nicer, they would’ve been at the top of my list. For now, they just c r u n c h. Wacky extra? The 2011 Talking Princess Celestia. She was just SO inaccurate it was kind of cute in a way. Nothing screams “I love to make new friends!” like a huge pink plastic pony with green flapping wings
