Unfortunately at $5 for a pony this does put the new MLP singles in the "cheap" section when compared to many other toys. And a cheap selling product will often mean a cheaply made product. We are certainly seeing that in MLP at the moment.

I would guess email Hasbro if dont wish to keep her and see what they have to say about it hopefully they will send you a replacement. But honestly I dont know how many threads there have been on quality of G4s and I would warn the replacement you get may not be much better :(
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

I'm sorry for you.

I would say - it wouldn't hurt to try to bring her back with the original bill. Anyway if she is out of package now or not. She's damaged and that is the important point.

I don't know if I would buy a second one... maybe I would better keep an eye out for a mint loose one.

You can still take her back hon! Just put her back in her box and tell target what happened. They're usually good about these sort of things.

Wow that's bad!  I have a lot of G4s and I've been noticing a lot more quality problems since the wedding sets hit the stores, maybe because they're trying to produce faster.  The hair rooting on G4s was awful to begin with compared to G1s and G3s.

I think I'm gonna mention this in my merch column this week. :x

I would complain straight to Hasbro. (they might replace her and give you a coupon or something)

I say you go ahead and return it. Target is really good about customer satisfaction, and they will return it to Hasbro as damaged goods. Even if they don't, they probably will contact Hasbro as they can't afford to sell crappy merchandise, as simple as that.
This.
Returned goods says a lot to a company.

My sister got a Fluttershy for her wedding, and it had a wing that seems like someone bent it a whole bunch and now it's plastic is really thin in one part, almost going to fall off or something.  -_-

Wow that's really awful. This is why I won't put any money into the brushables of this line.  Besides the fact that the heads do not match...stuff like this is just very frustrating. I can't spend my money on things that are so poorly made.  I always thought I would collect every line, but I can't purchase G4's unless they are blind bags.  Sad really...its clearly marked. I wonder how this sort of thing happens and why its not inspected by someone before being boxed.

Oh geez, poor Twilight :/
I wish Hasbro placed a bit more effort in to improving quality, but I guess its fair given the low price of the toys.

so far i've only noticed feathermay has a very notice-able different colour head, but didn't notice it straight away - i thought maybe it was a gradual colour fade or something. they are $9 here, not really a cheap toy, if i had one damaged like that i'd be taking it back straight away!!!! oh and our first rd is nearly a year old and quite grey compared to our newer one...

I feel sad looking at them pictures again. I bought some ponies yesterday and had to look good at them first!

My Target could not take her back. Hasbro replied my e-mail today saying they are going to send me a new one (didn't told me when).

I luckily bought this one in the US. In Brazil a brushable like her is about US$13.

That's horrible.  Sorry that happened to you.  I would try the store first and if they offer to replace your pony, make sure the one you get is fine before taking it home.  If they don't let you get a new one I would contact hasbro.  I would print the pics and show them to them also in a letter or email.  I would try to emphasize that you would prefer another twilight sparkle.  They must have plenty in stock, it's not like she's a rare pony.  If you can't get a twilight maybe you can find a nice member here to reroot her for you.
