Update!

After sending the screencaps showing that she sent me the Tracadie address, and confirmed it as correct, the buyer went quiet.  I left it for 24 hours (she has a history of responding immediately, especially when she was pushing for pictures, etc).  After 24 hours, I sent her a simple message saying "Hey, did you figure out who's address you gave me?"
She responded with "Who is this?"

At this point, I was feeling quite yanked around. So I wrote back. "Ok. Then shall we consider our transaction successfully complete then?"
She says "Are you the lady that sent me the bears?"
I say "Our conversation should be in your history. But yes."
She says "Ok, yes, I received them, thank you."

I pressed further, wondering what the heck was up.  She finally admitted that the message she had sent me, was sent to the wrong person.

I still have to wonder if she isn't a scammer, buying expensive things on kijiji, then telling sellers who don't document everything that there was a mistake and getting a refund.  But whatever. I have added her number, name, and address into my contacts and flagged it as "SELLER BEWARE".

And baby squirmy - - -- THANK YOU for that etransfer info!  My bank told me etransfers are completely between two people, and if you get cheated, you are out of luck. I am going to save that info down!

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Re: Pokemon Go -- who wants to be friends?
« on: July 07, 2018, 06:51:42 PM »
Here is my info!  I am going to start sending friend requests. I have been accumulating gifts... hoping to hatch some this weekend.

Spoiler
Name is Kiera Striker.  Code number is 1469 4280 3176

I had a buyer contact me wanting to buy a big ticket item from my kijiji sales. Nine of my limited edition boyd's bears plush, for a total cost of $450.

She first contacted me through kijiji, then went into text.

She contacted me in December, but needed a payment plan. So I accepted $100 a month, and the final payment of $50 the first week of June.  Once the final payment was sent, I sent a text thanking her, and reminding her that I needed her shipping address.  She sent me her shipping address, which was (name and street removed for privacy)...
Name Name
123 Street Street
Tracadie-Sheila, NB
E1X 1E2

I did up the label, and sent her a screen shot asking her to confirm it was accurate. She confirmed. And I shipped the package, with signature required and lots of insurance and tracking. Asked at the post office to confirm that the signature requirement meant that the addressee would have to sign for it, but the post office lady said no, it just meant that someone at that address would be signing for it.

I checked the tracking today, and saw it had been delivered, but a different name signed for it. Ok. Sent the buyer a text asking her to confirm that the package had arrived safely.  She said no, she had not got it yet, that the tracking still said 'out for delivery'.  I had her double check, using the Canada post website and not an app.  I also sent her a screen cap of the website where it showed the delivered status and the name of the person who signed for it.

She then sends me a text back saying "You delivered them to Tracadie. Was supposed to be in Shippagan."

At this point, I sent her a message back with screencaps of the message she sent me with her address, and one of the photo I sent her to confirm her address and her message confirming it. So far she has not responded.

So what would you all do? Am I AT ALL at fault in this situation?  Pretty sure I covered all my bases... but hoping that it's not possible to file an 'item not received' claim for something paid for via etransfer?

Hmmm. Funny animal stories...

My little sugar glider, Velcro, was out playing around in the bathroom with me. Climbing around on towels, on me, the counter, etc. He was fairly young still.  He climbed up a towel, leapt up spread-eagled and tried to stick to the wall. Naturally, that was a Fail, and he landed with a splat on the floor. Knocked the wind out of himself, he did get pretty shaken by it. He recovered ok, but from that day forward he refused to jump more than a few inches in any direction, and he never learned to glide. He just refused to jump.

Our dog, Tessa (aka Stupidog), is not the brightest bulb. She hates water. Hates it. Goes out of her way to avoid puddles, will only get wet up to her ankles to retrieve a toy from the pond, and under no circumstances wants to swim. She was rolling on a dead fish one day, right at the edge of the pond, with enthusiasm and gusto and groaning with delight, all four legs in the air. She rolled the wrong way, and rolled right into the water. What was worse, the bottom is slippery, and she had a really good flounder/thrash trying to get upright. She had water in her nose, her ears, and was wet all the way to the top. She clambered out and gave me The Dirtiest Look. She thought I had pushed her in. To this day, years later, she won't trust me within three feet of her if she is near the pond.

One evening, all the chores are done, spring and baby season in full swing. We're just finishing supper, bring the dog in, and she crashes on her mat by the TV.  We go to sit down, and soon as I walk in the room, I start sniffing. What the heck is that smell?!  It's horrid! Where is it coming from?  Smells like... gawd, did the snake regurgitate half digested rat and leave it on the heat pad for two days?  No. Snake cage is clean. Better not be something dead in the wall because I am NOT putting up with that smell for days. Hunt around and hunt around, and ... OMG it's coming from the dog. What the heck did you roll in this time Stupidog?!  Stand still, stand still, what the...?!  Ew, geez, Stupidog has about a foot of creamy off white and black smeared down her shoulder. I grab her collar to escort her to the bathtub, only to wrench my hand away upon coming into contact with something cold and slimy. Oh yeah!  She had a grand old time. She had found a dead bullfrog who knows where, that had fermented under the ice all winter, the only reason I could tell what it was is that one leg was partially still intact. The rest was a gooey disgusting mess, and was not only all down her shoulder, but most of it was wedged into the prongs on her prong collar. I have a pretty strong constitution, but that just about did me in.

Adopted a tortoise. Had her out in the 'tortoise playpen' in the back yard. I step into the pen to check on them, and she starts attacking my feet. Chasing me around, and trying to bite my toes. Haha, I had freshly painted red toenails... and her fav food is strawberries. The other two torts know the difference. Squirtle apparently, does not.

Staying home!  Since an eco-resort where I can do hands on biology or wildlife rehab wasn't listed...

Dipper would be my first choice, but of the two you listed, I'd go with the Downunder one, Bill.  Grunkle just looks like a PEW, and could fade out just as much as get points.

Pony Corral / How to re-attach a bubble to a backcard?
« on: March 14, 2018, 04:38:41 PM »
So I bought a MOC G4 on ebay, from a Chinese seller. Naturally they shipped it in a bubble envelope. It arrived uncrushed, but the bubble has come completely off the card.

What is the best way to re-attach it? Is there a specific glue I should use that won't yellow or show?

For Sale - For Auction / 35th Anniv. MIB MINTY
« on: March 08, 2018, 05:38:00 PM »
I have a 35th anniversary Minty. Still in original box. She has one very huge glaring flaw: she has head body mismatch. To be more precise, her head is the proper shade of green, but her body is more a grey-green color.

Open to offers!  (Minimum offer is $10, what I paid for her). Shipping is extra, I can debox if you want her loose.

Pony Corral / Re: Did you have any rare ponies as a kid?
« on: February 26, 2018, 06:33:38 PM »
I had a so soft Satin and Lace. I thought she was too pretty to play with, so she just sat and stayed pretty. I did manage to break her ring, though, and it got tossed. :(

I find it amazing that a person can commit fraud at this level and nothing is done. My question is, has anyone actually TRIED to have charges filed against her?

I always have great plans to do house work/repairs on the weekend, but am always too tired and sore from the work week. So the house stays messy.

Credit card for everything possible. We pay it off in full each month, so no interest charges, and get 1% cash back. So we end up making money off it.

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Plush Teddies and Play House
« on: January 14, 2018, 10:47:01 AM »
I haven't been able to find anything about this set. It is a plush house, the furniture is held in place by a couple bits of thread, the bears have Velcro on the backs so they stick in place in the house and on the furniture. In great condition, nice and clean, non smoking home. It is about 12 inches tall (give or take a bit) when closed.

Price: $35 plus shipping. Shipping cost will vary depending on whether you want insurance or not. No insurance = no buyer protection. (For example, to ship to USA, with insurance is around $17 and without is around $12).

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Re: PC on MOC G1 LPS Baby Lamb
« on: January 14, 2018, 10:41:40 AM »
There are two currently on ebay.  A loose one missing her coat but with other accessories, sold for $15.  There is a MOC one out of Italy for $70.

Since you are in the US, shipping for American collectors will be better, so I would say around the same price as the one on ebay.

If it were mine, I would put it up on ebay with a starting bid of $65 and see what happens. If you need a fast sale and emergency cash, I'd put it up for $50.
