Lil spark helped me to get this girl. It took about 6 months for her to arrive, but it was totally worth it. Her wings are covered in glitter, but I think it adds to her charm. God I love blondes!

Your German Princess Tiffany is really beautiful!!

When I was a little girl, Lady Flutter was my most coveted pony.  Unfortunately, she eluded me because my supposed friend bought the only one at the store under me.  Years went by, and I began collecting ponies again after seeing Buzzer on eBay.  Finally, the day came when I was able to buy Lady Flutter.  When she arrived at my house, she looked GORGEOUS!  I almost cried because I was so happy to finally own her:)  So now I currently own 3 of them and I still adore her.

One of my favourites is Coco Berry, who I had to take to work and take photos of on a dare. I can't remember if the dare was to take them specifically to work, or just take them with you wherever you went that day, but I took mine to work and I just remember her making me smile all day, so now she is one of my favourites. We have a special bond ^_^

I don't have a photo woth him on his own, but the barnicle in the front of this photo is very special to me. I have culled down my collection to near nothing since this photo, but that pinky pie army was pretty awesome :D

Barnicle was the last pony that I took up to the nursing home to see my pop before he passed away, he used to like my pony collection, and Barnicle was one of the last that came in, he really fancied him with the little pirate hat & all, so even though Barnicle is almost considered bait due to lots of marks & spots, he will never leave my hands, and will never be customized, I like him just as he is.

I have a couple of other ponies or fakies that are special to me as they are gifts from loved ones, but barnicle holds a very special place in my heart :) My pop was the only grandparent I ever really formed a bond with, and I have many fond memories spending time with him as a child.

That's horribly sad and I'm sorry for your loss...but that seems like a wonderful way to remember you pop :lovey:

This is my favorite pony, Wind Whistler:

And here's my story.  When I was four, I received Wind Whistler as a Christmas present and I loved her.  I thought she was so pretty, with her soft blue color and her lovely pink hair.  I was a fairly well-behaved kid and I managed to convince my mom to let me bring her with me to the mall, something that my parents never let us do.  Of course, I promptly lost her and I felt horrible about it for days afterwards.  Indeed, I could still remember the incident clearly two decades later.

Fast forward twenty years later, I had just started pony collecting and I was at Savers.  They had just brought out a new basket of toys to stock the back shelves and what should appear before my eyes but an absolutely mint SS Windwhister.  Unfortunately, a little girl had gotten to the basket first and she'd picked up the pony before me.  So I waited, holding my breath, until the little girl put Wind Whistler down.  I asked her if she wanted it; she said no and walked away so I very excitedly picked up Windwhistler.  And though the odds of it being the one I'd lost are slim, it still felt like it was the one I had lost at the mall finally coming home to me after all these years.  She was dressed in the "Something Old, Something New" wedding dress, so I partnered her with the boy pony I'd found the week before (Wigwam) and excitedly brought her over to my mom's basket.

I actually found a bunch of g1s that day, but I could have found just her and I would have been just as happy.  She's the prized jewel of my collection and my favoritest pony ever.   :enthralled:

My absolute favorite pony is my childhood Little Flitter, Buttercup  :lovey:  She is the reason I collect ponies now, since I found the Arena while trying to figure out her real name.  I had just ID'd her when I realized her hair was supposed to be pink (I was shocked, most of my ponies came from baggies at the thrift store when I was a kid)!  Seeking more info, I googled her and ended up here!  The rest is history  :)

She's the white-haired LF at the front of my army  :lovey:  I will never ever repink her!

One of my all time favorites is my TAF Milky Way.  I got her as a child on a summer trip visiting my maternal grandparents.  They passed away shortly after that trip, so that pony reminds me of them.  :)

Above is my beloved childhood Seaflower. The above photos are a good indicator of just how loved she was. I assume my mom threw her away at some point. She's probably in a landfill now or might already be destroyed utterly. Very sad. However, I cherish the replacement Seaflower I got as an adult.

Sparkle baby firefly has to be my absolute favorite! She is particularly special to me because, she is one of my four ponies from my childhood that survived my teenage years, and the giving away of my collection to goodwill. I’m particularly fond of this one because as a child, my grandfather took me to the store to pick out a pony, which was sparkle baby firefly, but a few weeks later I lost her (the first and only pony I lost) I was so sad, that my mom decided to take me back to the store and get me another!! I’ve kept her safe ever since!

I love all your stories and lovely ponies I have two very favorite ponies.

#1 is my childhood milkyway.

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

in April 1987 for my birthday my mom bought me Milkyway. I brought her to my friends house carefully removed her from the package. I remember that night we had pizza hut pizza. My milkyway found her feet in a piece of pizza. That night she got left in the bath tub by my friends sister so she got water stuck inside her :( . the next morning I was playing with milkyway with barbie lipstick it stained milkyways lips red. So later that day went to go home and could not find my milkyway any where. Years later my friend told me her sister was jealous of me having milkyway so she buried it in the back yard. So before they moved my friend dug up the back yard and found my pony. But by then I had moved far away. So When She was 21 she donated my pony and alot of her barbies to the local value village. She had told me this when we met up after all these years that passed. Well a year went by an I was shopping and found a bag of G1s at value village. When I got home and open the bag I started to cry. I had found her my childhood Milkyway. Now you are asking why I thought she mine. She has dirt inbedded in her plastic, red pizza stains on her feet, rust on her tail, red lipstick stains on her lips, She is mine. I love her so much and will never loose her again.

#2 My My Pretty pony

When I was 13 I went to visit my great grandma Dot. She insisted on taking me to the town Bazar. At the time I was thinking yeah what fun lots of old ladies selling junk. I had pored over the tables for hours and Gramma Dot asked me if I saw anything. I said yeah but they probably want to much for it. So I showed her the My Pretty pony and we asked the lady how much. The lady said for you sweety a quarter. I was so happy. So we went home I gave the pony a bath and spent 3 hours untangling her hair. I still have her to this day. It is one of the happiest memories I have of gramma Dot after all these years.

Oh, where do I begin? I have four fave ponies! xD

Guess I'll start with G4 Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, both pictured here with my Busou Shinki Partio:

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Rainbow Dash is the first G4 Pony that I got, having received her for my birthday last year from my best friend. Funny story, after having lost interest in MLPs as a little girl and then learning about the new Friendship is Magic show, I was intrigued. Then, when I was looking around the toy aisles at my local Wal-Mart, right around the time they were releasing toys of the Mane 6, I saw they had a Basic Rainbow Dash and I was like, "OMG, want!" But I was shopping with my mom, and seeing that my mom wasn't big on my buying Transformers (yes, I'm a girl and I collect Transformers), I figured she wasn't going to like me buying the newer MLPs. But then, when it came around the time of my birthday, I listed Rainbow Dash at the top of the MLPs I wanted for my birthday (among other things)... and sure enough, that's who I ended up receiving on my birthday!

Fluttershy is my actual first G4 Pony retail purchase. Well, okay... I bought her along with Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle, but Fluttershy was the first Pony I grabbed from the shelves. I absolutely adore her, she just looks so irresistibly cute! She's about to steal the number one fave pony spot from Rainbow Dash! xD Fluttershy has become such good friends with my Busou Shinki Partio; they seriously both look cute together, both in pictures and outside of having their pictures taken together.

And then here's my other two faves, Twinkleshine and Flitterheart:

Twinkleshine is one of four Ponies I received for Christmas from my best friend (the others being Feathermay, Snowcatcher and Fashion Style Rainbow Dash). I instantly loved her bio about her wanting to be a movie star, and it's that bio that reminds me of my best friend (she wants to be an actress). Flitterheart, I absolutely adore her color scheme, and to be honest, I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get her for Christmas. But luckily, on my first shopping trip after Christmas, I found a lone Flitterheart at my local Wal-Mart and I knew I couldn't leave the store without her. So now, she's getting as much attention from me as Twinkleshine, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash are. xD

Argentinian Fluttershy shall forever be known to me as 'Pretty Bow'. Before I discovered the Arena I used to always rely on Dream Valley for my pony information and on there was a pony which was believed to have come with the German show stable and was dubbed Pretty Bow. Since her origins at that time were unknown and she was considered insanely rare I almost feinted when I saw her in an eBay auction for four baity Argentinian ponies. I got up at about 3am to bid on the auction and was shaking like a leaf! I desperately wanted to win the auction and I did! Pretty Bow arrived soon after and she had very little of her hair left so I re-haired her (and the others in the lot too) and was somewhat smitten with my find.

Fastforward about two, maybe three years to when I joined the arena and of course found out that, while ever she is a Nirvana pony she isn't particularly hard to find and nowhere near as rare as I thought she was! It has been a source of much amusement for me and my husband thinking of how rare we thought she was when I found her :P

I can has more than one story?

I wanted Lofty so badly when I was a kid. I'd seen her in my pony books and I just loved her. I could never find her anywhere and I now know that's because we didn't have So Softs in the UK. One of my friends, who was known to be quite creative with the truth told me that a girl who lived close to us had a Lofty and she might let me have it! I was so excited and kept pestering for her to take me to see her friend. We eventually did and of course there was no Lofty! I was sooooo disappointed! One of the first ponies I bought when I started collecting was of course Lofty. The one pictured first is an upgrade because the one I bought first had lots of flocking rub but I wanted her really badly and she was the only one on eBay at the time. The second one pictured is my first Lofty who I de-flocked and re-haired and I love them both to pieces.

When I was little my Grandparents used to take me to the second hand market in town. There were literally tables piled with My Little Pony and I had so much fun rummaging through them all, finding ones I didn't have and picking the one I would be allowed to buy that day (or sometimes two if I couldn't decide which one!) My Granddad used to spoil me rotten (in a nice way, not a me-being-bratty one :P )! I remember one time we went over the other times because that day I found Fireball. I loved him immediately and had no doubt that was the pony I wanted on that visit to the market. I kept my childhood Fireball even when I gave my pony collection away as a teenager but sadly he was lost along with Applejack (his girlfriend :P ) who I also kept. I still get upset about that to this day as I know I kept them but have no idea where they went. So my current Fireball is his 'replacement' and always reminds me of the happy times with my Grandparents and my Granddad who passed away when I was seventeen.

I'm having lots of fun with this, anyone mind if I tell another?   (I have lots of ponies with stories behind them!)

This is 'Blat'! She is my husband's pony :) He says she has a cute fat face that reminds him of our cat and her pose looks like she's gone 'splat', but he says 'blat' because he's daft ;) I love her just because he does! The fact that my husband likes my ponies is, in itself, great, but the fact that he has a favourite and has declared her his pony is just brilliant! When he has to stay away from home overnight (for work, or if he goes out with the boys away from home) I secretly squirrel Blat into his bag so that he finds her when he arrives and it makes him smile. The first time I did it she was inside one of his t-shirts and he whipped it out and Blat went flying across the room and he says he was all "wut now?? o__O" LOL! The good thing is he doesn't go away very often so he forgets that I do it and is always nicely surprised to see the pony in his bag, which I'm told has pride of place on whatever bedside table he has there :P

Ok I'll stop now ;)

Gusty is my favourite of them all
visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Here she is looking fancy in her skating outfit :3

Gusty was my first ever G1, I was born in the time of G2's but luckily I have a cousion a few years older than me who donated her ponies to me when she got a bit older, I was over the moon and being the only unicorn in the box I was given she was immediately "special" I used to pour bubbles in my bath and pretend she had magiced them up!
I was also very into the movie I had on VHS, and on a family walk me and her went hunting for bushwoolies in the forest, but I dropped her down a rabbithole, and alas she couldnt be reached, I was completely heart broken and cried buckets, on the way back to the car, some woman ran over to us and asked if i'd like a present to cheer me up (God I love kind old people like that) and she handed me my gusty! apparently her dog had dug her up and she'd taken her off him beifre she was chewed to a pulp!
my mum later made me a little pouch for me to wear whenever we went out.
Later when my childhood collection went into storage, I just couldnt throw her away with the rest of them, and after finding her at the back on my drawer a few years ago she is what got my back into collecting, she remains my only childhood pony even though I still learch the attic for my ponies in hope they might turn up suddenly.
BUt I just love gusty so much, dirt, highlighter makes and all ;)

Although I don't have a picture of them, I have three favorites. Daddy Bright Bouquet, Baby Sister Bright Bouquet and Splasher the baby seapony. I don't remember where we found them but my mum and grandma used to buy me ponies from car boots and charity shops. These three were always my favourite, I always loved seaponies but because I was only 3, I never knew that any other seaponies existed, until now and that is why I collect adult seaponies, Splasher is my favourite baby sea pony and willl always be because I remember the bath adventures we used to have together. They are a slightly sad memory too because around that time, my nanama used to travel a lot and I hardly saw her, but I would wait so desperately for her to come home and that would make it all better. So they are beautiful to me, just the way they are.

MIB Whitecap. She was up for BIN a few years ago, and I couldn't hit the button fast enough. The seller is one of the nicest collectors I've come across too, so I always smile when I see that pony, (or the other I added to that order). :)

Back over ten years ago, I got a whitecap, with box and accessories. The lady who ran the seapony utopia really wanted to buy her off of me, she was going to bid on the same auction but missed it by seconds. Thinking there would be no way in heck I'd ever get the others, I sold off just the packaging. Then, ended up with 4 others! I had a huge case of sellers regret, even though I was happy it ended up with someone who really appreciated it. Since then it seemed every MIB seapony I needed was "usa only" shipping. So it was years before this one came up. Talk about patients!

Well, unfortunately, I don't have my childhood Sweetsteps...  But she was one of the first ponies I remember actually buying.  There used to be this really neat store called Ben Franklin's, over in Snyder Plaza in the *rich* area of Dallas lol.  Mom used to work for Digital, before it was bought out by Compaq, so she was able to afford for me to have a weekly "pay day" (aka, my allowance).  I remember the trip to Ben Franklin's one particular Friday after mom gave me my allowance.  She bought a clock that's shaped like the state of Texas (we still have it up in our kitchen!), and I bought baby Sweetsteps.  Unfortunately, she didn't make one of the moves later on in my life, but she always held a special place in my heart.  So I was VERY happy to get her again!!  She's one of my most treasured ponies, since she's one of the ponies I specifically remember buying.  Plus I miss that time in my life...it was the one time in my life where everything was absolutely perfect.

This is my Floater, whom I got for my seventh birthday.  I invited two girls who were sisters to my party, and they lived a couple doors down.  They had ponies too and we would play together.  They had Floater and I always loved her, but did not have her.  At this time G1s were becoming hard to find in stores, if even at all.  Even though they had a much smaller collection than me, for my birthday, they gave me Floater from their collection.  To this day I feel truly touched by their kindness.  She is a very special part of my herd.

The timing of her arrival was very fortunate. I had just gotten her a few days before my grandpa died. I hadn't seen him for months because I was halfway across the country for school, so it was really tough. I got the news late at night/early in the morning, so nobody could be there with me. Flowerburst was the only thing that kept me from being alone that night, she kind of helped me cope a little bit. Or at least let me cry on her :)

The last photo I had taken with my grandpa was when I was in my prom dress, which was the same color as Flowerburst's coat. The color of grandpa's tie he was buried in was the exact same blue as her mane.

She was also the first pony whose photo made my heart drop. She's just so beautiful and elegant, and I don't think any other pony can ever take that part of my heart she's claimed :) She's gone everywhere with me since then, in a plastic baggie in my purse. I just feel more comfortable and safe, knowing she's always there with me.

So touching stories everyone... And beautiful pics!

I'm sorry I canot attach a pic but can I tell my story as well:)? It is about one of my fav ponies, my favourite newborn, the dark blue German Baby Stargaze.
I took her to the hospital with me last year when my son was born, as I was a bit teary about parting with my daughter for a few days, and as she loves newborns she picked her out for me to accompany me. Well two days after Marci was born my daughter and my husband both fell ill with a terrible stomach flu and had to get to hospital. They stayed in for a night as they were kinda drying out due to the stomach issues. And the thing was, I could not see them because of the epidemy, so I would not pass the illness to the 50-so newborn babies including my son. And they were on the exact same corridor which I was with Marci, just on the other end, I even heard my daughter cough many times, but I could only talk to her on the phone that night. But I managed to send this little pony with a kind nurse to be with my daughter and Daddy as long as I cant... And my poor little princess was so brave and strong, didn't cry at all with the infusion  in her little arm all night, could even sleep some on the tiny bed holding Daddys hand.  Later when everything went right she told me that Stargaze's arm was hurt, but she did not cry as she is now a big little pony girl:)...
So Stargaze always succeeds in bringing tears to my eyes. She is my lucky mascot pony now, kind of the representative of my connection with my kids... when I went to the hospital and to see doctors, I always brought her with me since then.

sydney: What a touching story. I'm glad she was there to comfort you.

elv: Another great story. Stargaze sure is a cutie!

Aw, so many cute stories :) and so many lost ponies...
Ive got one too.
When My Little Pony Generation 1 slowly came to an end, that great big toy-chain opened a store near my hometown. It was TRU back then and we did not have any other store like this. I was sooo excited ! My grandma Traudi took me there when the store had its great opening one day and I was allowed to pick any tow I like !! OMG, I could not be happier. After hours of thinking I picked one of the 7 Tales Ponies, it was Clover (Glücksklee in german). Well Clover was not exactly what I imagined her to be after watching the TV series.... but well, I kinda liked her color, so she was mine. Sadly, I never really got into her as much as I was into my other ponies, so she stayed in the toybox most of the time.
The years passed by and I finally found myself adult. When I started collecting I still had almost all of my original childhood herd, but I made this stupid mistake and traded some of them away. *sigh* ... Clover was one of them. At one of the german MLP boards, a girl of 12 years asked me to sell her to her, back then in 2004. I agreed and shipped the pony. I got 10€ for her which was a lot for an old toy-pony (so I thought). Well, the girl, though sooo in love with ponies, never made it to that board again. I just kept her name in mind.
Well, about a year later, I remembered Clover one day and I regretted selling her, since she was one of my original childhood ponies and I should have never been giving her away. I tried to get a new one, but I never got one. One was stolen from my doorstep, one was lost during shipping, one never got sent by the former owner, one disappeared with her buyer... it was like crazy.
Then one day a new member came to the new german MLP board. It was a young woman of 18years, she was kind and friendly and told us of her ponies she had as a child. Everything was as always but then one day I got a message. It was her. "I heard you are looking for a new Clover? I have one for sale, shes old, but nice, I bought her when I was 12, but I never liked her that much. Shes in good condition, but she carries a V under her hoof." I could not believe my eyes... a V??? All my childhood ponies used to carry my first letter (a V) under their hooves. My original Clover carried one too. Trembling in joy I wrote back that I would immidiately pay her, whatever she costs!! Could this be my old childhood Clover? Can anybody have that much luck??
It was such a hard time waiting for her to arrive. It was around christmas 2010 and as always, the postal service was slow. The package had a tracking number and I looked it up every single day. Two days before I got it it disappeared, the service was telling that it "has arrived", but it wasnt here !! omg, I was close to crying, as you can imagine. Another lost Clover?? But luckily it was only the postman, who had forgot her on the seat of his car... I got the package a few days later.
When I opened the package there was a note saying "Here is your pony, I hope you love her!" ... and there she was ! I immidiately checked the "V" and YES !!! IT WAS HER !!! The good old Clover my grandma Traudi bought for me back then !!! I wrote a message asap to her seller to say thank you, to tell how much that means to me but... she was gone. She never appeared at the MLP board again and all the mails I sent her came back. Im still close to tears while thinking of this story... more than ever now, because my beloved grandma Traudi died last year in march and I miss her so so so much... Im so happy that I got this pony back after so many years and I will hold her forever now because she was my childhoodpony and my grandma got her for me.

This is her btw

Oh gosh, some of these stories made me a little emotional. I don't easily get emotional, but these stories~~ They made my eyes water a bit.
I wish I had a story as wonderful as these. :( My childhood ponies are long gone by now and I don't even have the strength to rebuy any of them. Only ones I for sure remember having are mail order Seabreeze, Water Lily with her frog costume and Sky Skimmer. I remember that frog costume always made me smile. Someday I'll buy them back. Some day.. Don't have the money for it now, but I will eventually. And then cry like a little baby when I open up that box.

In college a couple years back I was very into collecting G3's, especially RD, my favorite. (This was before the Core 6 came out, which is when I stopped collecting.) My friends in college always put up with my pony babble with fond but somewhat strained smiles. I think they thought I was a little kooky to decorate my room with so many ponies. I had over 200 Ponies in my room. They were everywhere....

One year my birthday came around and I was in a bad mood cuz my birthday always puts me in a bad mood. I'm just one of those people. But I came home after classes, to the apartment/house the four of us lived in, and I saw a MLP cake sitting there on the kitchen table with Rainbow Dash on top it! I totally freaked out. My friends had all gone out and bought me a MLP cake!

A few years later one of my college friends was visiting my new apartment and looked at my Rainbow Dash display with that same fond but strained smile I had come to know. She said, "So which Rainbow Dash is your favorite?" and of course I picked up the Rainbow Dash cake topper. Best birthday ever lol. (In the photo, it's the one in the front row on the far left, sitting down.)

This girl. She is my most favorite pony in my entire herd. She is the ONE pony I could never give up. Never. She is my only remaining childhood pony. I can remember playing with her. My 5 year old hands held her. Only, back then, I was so mean to her. She wasn't a real pony. I eventually punished her by putting her up in my grandparent's attic and forgetting about her. 20 or so years later, my mom and I were cleaning out the attic for my grandma, and I came across her. I immediately thought about all of the posts I had made here and at the TP, saying how I lost my whole herd. How I would never be able to hold a childhood pony again, and as much as I love my replacement ponies.....it would never be quite the same. I held this girl in my hands, and literally started crying. Tears of joy. I looked at my mom and said....I still have one. She smiled, and said...."maybe you'll find some more". I knew I wouldn't. This was the only pony I treated this way. The others were never out of my room for long. I felt like I was in Toy Story. This little girl waited in the attic for 20 years....waiting for me to come and get her again. I did.....and I'll never put her away again. She is displayed grandly in my cabinet with my prized sets. I have bought other Totsy's so she wouldn't feel lonely or out of place in the herd. She is my most special pony. :)

Tex is and always will be one of my very favorite ponies. My early childhood was a rather lonely time for me. My mother was in a very bad place in her life and I was mostly ignored by my older siblings, so I always played with my ponies by myself. Mom got remarried when I was seven and my stepfather became the center of my world. He is the first person I ever remember playing with me. He bought Tex for me and when he played with me the only pony he ever wanted was Tex. I gladly surrendered him just so someone would play with me. My stepfather is still my hero. :)

We moved to Maine what I was 10 and I started the fifth grade. I met this girl named Carrie who also had and loved ponies. We became fast friends (my first real friend!) and we didn't care that the other kids picked on us because we were "too old" for ponies. She drew me a picture that I still have. We would almost compete with each other to see who could get the coolest ponies. She usually won! One day she brought the most beautiful Rain Curl pony with perfect curls to school, but sadly, she got a pen mark on her neck with in Carrie's backpack. I told her I could get the mark off, so I took her home with me. A few days later I found out that Carrie had to move away suddenly. We kept in touch as much as possible and we saw each other a few times a year, but of course we weren't as close as we used to be. Fast forward years later and I'm getting married and moving in with my hubby. I got a job a McDonalds and guess who is working there? Carrie! So we reignited our friendship and shortly after we agreed that since Rain Curl had been living with me for so long anyway I should officially keep her. (To this day, she still has a faded blue ink mark on her neck!) And you all now know Carrie as Mareacooda! :)

He's a horribly baity Powder, but he'll never be customized; he was my first pony! To this day Powder in general is still one of my favorite pony designs.

And this is Sunbeam:

When she came out, I think I was 11 years old, and my younger sister and I still played ponies for HOURS every day. Sunbeam was my main character, the favorite of my herd.
And the main character of my sister's herd was Starflash; they were best friends forever, like me and my sister!

Gusty
My favoritest pony! She was my first G1 when I was about 3 years old. I remember taking her everywhere. She went in the bathtub with me, and... probably ended up suffering from horrible tail rust. XD  I treasured her very much, but I'm not sure what happened to her. She was probably sold with the rest of my ponies in a Garage sale when I was 11 or 12.

When I got into collecting last year, Gusty was the very first G1 I bought!

Baby Bouncy
When I was 5 years old, we were at the store and I saw the first tooth babies. I fell in love. Being the spoiled child I was, I cried and cried in the store in hopes of my parents caving in and buying it for me. But they didn't, saying that it was almost my birthday. So... I was patient... as patient as a little 5 year old could be.  A few weeks later, it was my birthday. I was so excited! It was time for ponies! I was given my gift, but... broke into tears when I opened it. Instead of a pony, I got a panda bear lamp. o_o It was just a stuffed animal attached to a lamp. My dad put a green lightblub in it... my favorite color. I remember sitting in my room and crying for about 2 hours. "I WANT A MY LITTLE PONY!  I WANT A MY LITTLE PONY!!!" WHAAAA. lol!

It was probably over the summer the next year, we went to a flea market or garage sale. I found a still boxed Baby Bouncy! My parents finally bought her for me. She went with me just about everywhere, especially since she was so small.

I remember when I was 7, moving to Ohio from Virginia, I held her all the way on the car ride! :D

As for the other ponies in the picture, they're not my favoritest, but they happen to be in the picture! XD

Red Roses
I had a friend named Heather when I was 12 who lived the the apartment above me. She was a few years younger than me, but I didn't care. We used to play ponies all the time, as well as video games and watch movies! Her grandmother was a bit on the strict side and refused to let us see eachother after she found out that I was turning 13. Apparently I was too old and I was going to badly influence her? I donno! We just liked playing ponies! ;_;  We'd sneak and find ways to talk still, and she'd let me borrow a pony or two to play with! I'd sneak and return it to her on her balcony the next day. XD

After I moved, we exchanged addresses and we wrote eachother back and forth, until I lost her address in high school.  About 2001 or so, we got back in contact through the internet. We started hanging out again!  She was really into pony collecting and customizing! One day, she gave me all of her childhood ponies, many of which I remember playing with, like Red Roses! She also gave me a custom pony! They were on display in my room for a long time. Alas, I was not a collector at the time. I just loved 80's things. So I put them in a box and stored them in the attic for a long time.  We ended up falling out of contact again, and I have no idea how she's doing. ;_; I just know she had a kid about... 6 or 7 years ago? D:

When I got back into collecting, I went back to my parents house shortly thereafter and retrieved the ponies! I've gotten most of them cleaned up to minty condition again. Though one is still being rehaired. XD   Though sadly, this is all I have to remember my friend by. Maybe one day I'll get back in touch with her again!

Oooooh wingers and princesses what a great thread! Some lovely pictures everyone!

I'd forgotten starry wings until I joined here and now I remember when I got her getting the box down off the shelf in TRU with my dad! I now have 5 of her to fulfill childhood nostalgia!

I only have a pic of 3 of them right now!

such wonderful stories everyone !!
Especially Clones, yours about Raincurl reminds me of one of my childhood ponies. May I tell this one too?

I had a very close friend in childhood, her name was Iris. She loved ponies too and so we played hours and hours and hours. It was great *swoons* She usually wanted to same ponies I had (which annoyed me sometimes back then) and so we had some doubles in our herd. We made an agreement on them, so everytime one got a pony the other one already had, the pony must be a male and marry the other one. And so it happened to my and her Sugar Sweet. My was the girl, I had her first. When she got hers, it was the male, of course and so they married, lol. Well, my Sugar Sweet was about half a year older and not in that pristine condition anymore. I combed her curls out back then and I was a little envyous about my friends Sgar Sweet because he was shiny, curly and beautiful. Well, that did not last long of course since our ponies went everywhere with us. But well. One day I asked my friend to borrow her Sugar Sweet to me so the married couple can have a night together. She agreed and so I took her pony home with me. Well at home my mom saw the two ponies and laughed. "This one is yours, right?" she pointed on my friends pony. Before I could say anything, she said "Well of course, thats yours, the other one is so dirty, must belong to Iris, asher toys are always a mess." because I did not want to say honest that the dirty one was my own... I did something I really regret. I mixed up their hairdos and pretended mine was the pony which originally belonged to my friend. When I returned the pony she did not care, she did not recognize it even, but I did feel kinda bad for doing this. But sadly I had no chance to tell...
The next day we fought badly at school. Really badly. I dont remember what about, but it was really bad. We did not talk to each other for weeks and then... she was gone. I could still cry thinking of that because she was my best friend ever. Her family moved to a far away town and we never saw each other again. I never had a chance to talk to her again.

Well, this is Sugar Sweet with a part of the original members of my own childhood herd; the one I kept. My original own one is with my friend, but as I know her family, I bet all the ponies have been tossed away already...

I guess I kind of adore this gal due to the fun suprise that came of a hour long trip to buy a lot.
Here was the lot....

What's not pictured is the original box that the seller's Mom had saved from her Bridal Beauty. Surprise!!
After coming across a zillion Pony Brides, I never thought I'd own her sister... Let alone with her original box!
It was so much fun making her a custom veil, and a new backing to attach her to.

Sugarminty: That is AWESOME that you got Clover back.  And that's a funny story about Sugar Sweet. I'd have done the same thing!

Flitter: You must get those sea ponies again eventually. They're adorable! Best of luck!

Dragon: That was so sweet of them to get you a Rainbow Dash birthday cake. You're so lucky.

mlp4me: Nice catch!

josie: That's such an interesting story. Funny how we sometimes end up treasuring something that we wouldn't have given a second glance to 20 years ago!

Kala: Power looks awesome like that, and I adore Sunbeam as well. I love that SHS set. Just wish they had made a purple one in that set!

tehrin: You know how much I LOVE that Red Roses of yours. Her hair is amazing. I wish I had one like that.

scarlet: She is so pretty. Great curls.

BM: Get your butt in gear and get me some pics!

FPM: Your mini army is so cute. I only have three wingers, and Starry is one of them. She's ridiculously pretty.

These are some beautiful stories. I've enjoyed reading all of them.

When I was little, I had a Star Glow. I was afraid of the dark, so I remember seeing her in my room and feeling slightly comforted, knowing that my toys were there for me.

I have no idea if I still have her though. If so, she's in hard-to-reach storage so it'll be a while before I can dig her out. :(
