I love taking polls. This is my second one. If you wish you can write reply about why you like the pony you chose. Thank you for taking your time to vote!

I like Tootie Tails a lot because of her eyes and colors. I like bright colors so I think Paradise/Tropical Ponies are really cool. I love Sea Breeze because she looks gentle and nice.
-
I always loved Pina Colada
-
Hulaway
-
I had a hard time choosing one, because I love all 4 of them! I only know them from pictures though, since I don't have any of them. I chose Tootie Tails, even though I don't really get her name. The others all have tropical sounding names, but what is a 'tootie' and what does it have to do with her tail? :what:
-
Tootie Tails sounds like the name of a pony with flatulence problems.

Glad you said it and not me, haha...I was just thinking about how my 5-year-old boy would interpret that name, you should have heard his gleeful hysterics when I told him there was a pony named Floater...
-
I had Pina Colada/Hula Hula in my childhood ponies. She is one of the few ponies that I let get away. I'm hoping one day I'll be able to get another one.
I really like Tootie Tails/Summer Heatwave and Sea Breeze/Surfing Days too.
I think the UK names fit some of the ponies better. :)

This is what I think of too when I hear Tootie Tails

Well, if you eat certain foods...

I picked Tootie Tails, I love that pose and yellow ponies and fruit...so...yep (and yes, that NAME, what were they THINKING??). She's on my list of ponies to try to get in 2021. I also really like Sea Breeze except for her pose. I'm not a huge fan of the set though, not sure why.
Back to the names. I have...suggestions:
Tootie Tails could be called Pina Colada (she has a pineapple!)
Pina Colada could be Palm Delight (or something else with palm in the name)
Sea Breeze could be Ocean Angel (angelfish)
Hula Hula could be Sea Breeze (sailboat needs wind)
I think they have some different names outside the US? Are they just as non-sensical?
-
Tootie Tails because she got a funny name
but also I like her colors
-
I chose Hula Hula (the unicorn) because she was my childhood tropical pony! I also owned the Having a Luau outfit (although I called it the Hula Hula outfit!) and she was the perfect pony to wear it! I still have it, but I'm missing the hat. The tropical ponies are one of my favorite pony sets. I really like all of them, but I agree that Tootie Tails has a funny name.
-
I love them all but my favorite is Pina Colada. I love her colors, her symbol and her pose. I agree that the US names could use some work. But, I think there a number of ponies whose names don't work well with their symbols. It would be very interesting to know the company decided upon each individual name.
-
I had Pina Colada as a kid, but I found her at a garage sale and didn't know her name. I renamed her Oasis, and I stick with that one to this day.
-
Sea Breeze is my favorite

The UK names make a lot more sense to me than some of the US ones.
Tootie Tails is Summer Heatwave
Pina Colada is Hula Hula
Sea Breeze is Surfing Days
Hula Hula (the unicorn) is Sail Away

I think Seabreeze is my favorite. I'm normally not the biggest fan of orange ponies, but her colors are very unique and remind me of seeing the sun rise at the beach.
-
Tootie. I have quite the army of her at this point lol. she's a favorite
-
Difficult to pick since I love three of them almost equally (sorry PiƱa Colada! ^^; ). Picked Tootie Tails because I absolutely love her colours, and the pose is one of my faves.
My TT is sadly in need of a rehair... her hair is cropped really short. And my Hula Hula is completely bald. I think I've even got as far as buying the hair I need but actually getting the rehair done... lol nope.
-
As Ponyfan said, the names were
better different here.
I'm not going to vote in the poll because of the name thing with Hula Hula.
My sister had Hula Hula (Pina Colada) as a kid, so to me that pony is the only pony that can ever have that name.
My favourite is the unicorn, who I had new, and her name was Sail Away.
It feels wrong to vote for Sail Away by selecting a poll option for Hula Hula. They're different ponies to me.
So yeah. My vote is for Sail Away. :)

Tootie Tails is Summer Heatwave
Pina Colada is Hula Hula
Sea Breeze is Surfing Days
Hula Hula (the unicorn) is Sail Away

Ah, I see... At least naming the pony with the sailboat Sail Away makes more sense to me than naming her Hula Hula!

I nicknamed my Hula, Kalea. Its a Hawaiian name that means Bright.
-
I chose Heatwave. I think Pina Colada is such a fun name, while for me a Pony called Hula Hula would have to have something to do with dancing as her rumpmark. I deffo prefer the UK names for the unicorn, pegasus & Heatwave, however
-
Hula Hula has the dancing palm trees.
I do agree that Pina Colada (too lazy to do the accent) is a cool name, and it would've been neat to have a pony called that over here. Although it's a bit alcoholic for the UK maybe..? (Applejack got through though..?)
They could've used Pina Colada for Summer Heatwave I suppose...? That would've made some sense at least??
I'm afraid this is one of those sets where I look at Hasbro US and just go...srsly, why ><.
I wonder if the fairy tail bird or the pony concept names came first...
In any case, Sail Away had that whole long comic poem as well, so that, coupled with growing up with Naynie's "Huli" makes me twitch inside every time I hear the name Hula Hula used online now.
@LAW Kalea is cute :D
-
My favourite is Pina colada. She was my first and I drew her before I even had her. (Usually that's in reverse)
Also the song Pina colada is quite nice. Never had the dink though.
-
Hulahula due to the fact that she was a part of my childhood herd. Pretty sure I picked her out too... Ah, Shopko memories.
-
Sea Breeze! :lovey:
I love them all yes, but this time Sea Breeze feels the most beautiful of them.
Pina Colada and Tootie Tails are my very first ponies in my childhood, among a few others (they were Tex, Chief, Barnacle, Sunspot ...) :hearts:
-

That is what I thought too! ;)
-
Tootie Tails could be called Pina Colada (she has a pineapple!)
Yes! I agree 100%! The pony with the pineapple should have been called Pina Colada! I still don't understand what "Tootie Tails" means to this day. I love everything about that pony....except her name.
I had Pina Colada as a kid, but I found her at a garage sale and didn't know her name. I renamed her Oasis, and I stick with that one to this day.
Ooh, Oasis! I really like that name for Pina Colada. You give her the name Oasis and you give Tootie Tails the name Pina Colada and you're all set!
-
I like Pina Colada's color scheme the best. It is kind of neat to have an ombre gradient pony which makes her pink body look shimmery. It reminds me of tropical fish! It looks bold and very 90's! The others just sort of pale in comparison, but that is probably just me.
This is a minor side note but how do you make the gifs of the ponies? Did you get them from somewhere online or did you code them yourself? I know nothing about coding!
-
I really adore TT, but you can probably imagine why I prefer to call her Summer Heatwave...sorry but I can't help but think of, er, "toots!"
But hey, I'm a sucker for food/fruit ponies, (can you tell?) for some reason I particularly enjoy tropical fruit motifs.

Hula is actually a pony that needs to be shown in proper lighting. I pooh-poohed her( this whole set actually) until I saw a good picture and was wowed.
Sea Breeze is just very eye searing in all the best ways. Espesh when her hair fades to white, it really makes the neon red and tennis ball green stand out more.
Would love to see Pina Colada in person someday. I love her hair colors.
-
My from-new-in-the-UK Sailaway and my from-the-us-Hula-way (as I call her) are actually different shades of purple.
I do wonder if this is true for Pina Colada/Hula Hula as well...it looks so from photos, and my sister's has curly hair but I see straight haired silky ones on auction from the US sometimes.
Batch differences are everything...xD

Neat.
-
Tootie Tails is my favorite... aside from the unfortunate name. I never got excited over these ponies but they are beautiful.
-
I would think I like sea breeze. Shes very pretty to me.
-
I know it may just be nostalgia, but I love Sea Breeze most. She was one of my favourite childhood ponies.
Her pose is adorable, and I love her colors.
I also had a vhs casette and on the cover there was an orange pegasus and I always interpreted that as Sea Breeze. Was really mad that I never got to see her in an episode XD
The whole set is lovely though, I really want to get the whole set. They would make great companions to my Sunbright family. Tropical themes are awesome.
Oh I also got one of the old comic books where they are featured. I actually have toyed with the idea of redrawing that old comic so they could look even cuter^^
-
All 4 of them are such 'happy' looking ponies with the bright colors. But my favorite is Pina Colada...mostly because I am a fan of actual pina coladas.
-
Hula Hula :) When I was little I got her for Christmas and I remember that I just couldn't stop looking at her. I loved all my ponies but she was the most beautiful pony I'd ever seen.
-
Pina Colada, with Sea Breeze being a close second! So pretty and vibrant.
