Basically my mom thought she was in her account and she hit the buy it now option. I let the seller know the issue and they opened a cancellation case. Is that normal? Do you think they will give me negative feedback? A little insight would be great. Thanks in advance.

A seller can't leave negative for a buyer. And the reason she sent you a cancellation request is so she can get her final value fees back. So I would just cancel the transaction and there is nothing more you should have to do.
