State of Arizona vs Jodi Arias
« on: February 27, 2013, 11:07:47 AM »
Has anyone been following the case of Jodi Arias? It's been streamed online and on InSession for weeks/months.

What's everyone's thoughts on the case? Her guilt (if any)? Alternative theories?

I often hear about it on the radio.

First she said she wasn't there the night of the murder.
Then she was there, and saw two people attacking her ex, but didn't know who they were.
Now she did kill him in self defense because he got mad at her for breaking his camera?

I don't know how much I can say here, but someone claiming self-defense doesn't need to use those two weapons in the manner in which she used them.

My mom's been watching this trial and has been telling me a little about it.  It's definitely some strange stuff.

She's nutty as squirrel poo! I think she's a complete sociopath and I'll bet she admitted guilt to her lawyers who have coached her very well to avoid the death penalty!

I think so too, no real way to excuse it. At least in my opinion “I don’t remember” just isn’t gonna explain defensive wounds.

She's def. over-coached. I agree! It's kinda too bad the Jury doesn't know the several attempts her lawyers have made to try and put the death penalty off the table. But I supposed that could come off as prejudicial.

I just feel it's a bit ridiculous to keep her on the stand for 14 days + now. Even if she is guilty and all that jazz......that's mental torture to anyone having to be up there day after day answering the same questions over and over.

This.

If it was self defense, I know I would probably have just grabbed whatever it was near by or a gun, shot him, and call the police.  If it was that violent of an attack on her.  It's so hard when you aren't present to actually see what went down.

But to slit his throat after already doing some damage?  That doesn't point anywhere good for her, even if it was an act of *passionate* anger.

:( poor guy
