Hey guys!

I have a confession to make: I love macabre/dark pony customs.
I'm talking zombies, ghouls, frankensteins, vampires,  and whatever dark fantasy you can come up with!
I especially like them if they still have a cutesy/kitschy theme going on.

One of my favorite customizers in that regard is eponyart, but I also love the more gruesome-looking ponies BlackAngel-Diana makes!

Feel free to post scary ponies you customized, bought or have seen elsewhere (but make sure to include the original customizer's name and/or link) ;)

Oh, one final word on gore: please do not insert images of too disturbing/violent-looking customs in order not to gross out our fellow board members. You can link to them instead ^^

I LOVE the zombie mer - she was priginally going to be for sale, but when I fiished her I was so attached that I kept her for my personal collection :) She just has so much character!

There is ^.^ The knots are hidden (as much as possible) in places that aren't seen when you display them (like the inside of legs, under where the mane falls etc)

i need to make a not-gross-zombie-pony one day. but i can totally relate, this mix is really adorable.

Just link to the pictures and put a little warning at the top of your rpost, so people can decide if they want to click on the links or not? I'd looooove to see your gross zombies!
I just don't know what's too harsh for this board and what's not, since even asterisk-censored swear words often get deleted by admins :blush:

I'm really enjoying this thread so far! Gosh, especially PrincessOfDarkness! Thanks for contributing so many lovely ponies!  :hug:
The green frankie has got to be my favorite. Applying all those stitches must have been one hell of a job!

The stitches aren't "applied" as such, but are actual stitches holding the pony together - the ponies get cut up, the holes are drilled out (then the pieces are individually airbrushed) and then in true Dr Frankenstein fashion, I stitch the pony back together with needle and thread. Its complicated and I have on more than one occassion screamed bloody murder when the thread gets tangled or I miss a hole or the thread snaps.... but the end result is fabulous ^.^ I think if I sat and tried to glue each of the individual stitches on, I'd go well and truly mad!
