The following two weeks have been quite stressfull for me (mostly because of the crappy school schedule and the buttload of work), so as a form of stress-relief I decided to draw more ponies:

This pic was inspired by what Lauren Faust said regarding the plot synopsis of one of the FiM episodes that never got made. You know, the one where AJ and RD find a pony that have been brought up by a herd of deer. The sketch for this one has been sitting in my drawing folder for quite a while, but it wasn't until recently that I finally pulled it out and decided to do something with it.

The G4 verse of the Sea Ponies - the way I see it. In my little headcanon the G4 ponies can be divided into four subtypes: the Kelpies (the big green guy), the common Sea Ponies (the yellow girl), the Merponies (the blue gal) and the Octoponies (little pink gal). More info on those can be found on my dA.

G1 Tootsie bust. This one was done mainly as a test pic - I was trying out different methods through which I can color my pics. This one is cell shading. I did another pic before with soft shading (color blending) featuring baby Ember, but I'm too embarrassed to show it here... you can check it out on my artblog Tumblr if you're interested.

Mimic. This one's from today - it was also done as a test pic. For Mimic's symbol/cutie mark I used the vector that was made by the talented boxdrink.

Gosh, I haven't posted here in a while, have I?

Since that last post in this thread, I managed to produce quite a number of artworks. Sadly, not all of them are pony-related, but now that I have more time for myself that's gonna change.

Anways, here's the stuff I made recently:

Spike and Brandy - this was inspired by the UK comics, in which both Spike and Brandy were portrayed as friends/"partners in crime".

Nail and Dende from "Dragonball Z". After a long while I got back into Dragonball Z, mostly after hearing about the brand new feature film that got released in Japan (which I so badly want to see). This in turn, caused me to get back to drawing DBZ fan art. Like the Happy Mask Salesman and Grogar pics, this was done with the blue pencil.

Chibi!Bills - the main villain of the aforementioned DBZ film (which is titled "Battle of Gods"). This was supposed to be parody pic, inspired by the infamous "Hang in there Baby!/Kitty!" posters.

Eevee. Made using dry pastels. I know he's a little darker here, than in official artwork, but that's only because the current pastel set that I own doesn't have that many colors. I tried to make it brighter in Photoshop, but it just kept getting more and more horrendous, so I left it as it is.

Kid Gohan, done in my style. This started off as a simple sketch I made at school, which, later on, I decided to color. I also took the opportunity to experiment a little with all the different coloring techniques.

Tsugaru - namekian hybrid-creature-monster-thingy. This was done as a fan art/tribute for the two fabulous Japanese fan artists: Chick-nk and Karakorugayome, who are both awesome and totally worth checking out.

Piccolo and chibi!Pan. I always envisioned Piccolo as Pan's guardian/grandpa-like figure/uncle/nanny/mentor/godfather, since she's Gohan's kid and all... hence the pic.

Applebloom. Done as a test pic, to try out coloring with markers. The markers I used are regular cheap markers you can buy at any stationary store, since I don't have that much cash to invest in the more proffesional markers like Copics and such... I didn't post this one on dA. The reason behind it was that I relized, that Applebloom's fron legs were shorter than the back ones... and I just can't post something that's got a jarring error like this one.

About a month or so ago, one of my friends at the University has asked me to draw something for her in her "special notebook". She didn't give me any specifics, just telling me to draw whatever I felt like. So I drew her, some characters. On the first page you can spot Rainbow Dash.

And that's basically it. There's a lot more stuff I did, but I didn't want to throw all those pics in herem since I didn't want to make this post longer than it already is. If you want, you can check out my dA gallery or my art blog.

Thanks for the comment! Glad you like them. I may be drawing more sea ponies in the future, since they're one of my favorite sub-types. I was really hoping they'd make an appearance in the FiM show, but sadly there was nothing of that... and I doubt that with the arrival of season 4, it's going to change.

A drawing I made for PinkiePony, featuring her OC, Floppy, and Megan. The lyrics come from the song "There's Always Another Rainbow" from the MLP movie. Poor Pinkie... she's been going through a lot of stuff lately, what with all those nasty people harassing her because of her own campaign, I just felt like drawing something to cheer her up.
