Thanks pkw! I'll try that color. I have one for rehair. It only has the tail and it has lost color over the years and it looks almost aqua green.

Here are some quickpics from my new girl. I did her a rehair with some blue hair I had here. It's not water nixi, but very close. Although I'm not sure of the texture, so I might buy some hair and redo her.

It is very tricky resorting nirvana ponies, since often the hair colour and texture is unique. Brand new nylon can look jarring sometimes, which is why I will occasionally re-root a pony with vintage nylon.

I think she looks lovely, even if the shade is a little different There often isn't an exact match for Nirvana hair colours.

Sometimes I pop new hair out for a sunshine fade before rehairing It normally fades the intensity of an original colour but as long as its only exposed for a short time does not really fade the colour too much. As so many nirvanas dont really have dollhair like for likes (after all its not hair sourced from the same location as Hasbro) sometimes getting an exact match is impossible.

She does look fantastic though and adorable with her new hair!

Thank you so much for your comments. I think the fading before rehairing is a great idea.

The hair I used here is made in Spain. I bought it at an arts shop. They only have blue and pink in fantasy colors. I guess I've grown used to the dolly hair texture and I now find this one strange and a little hard to work with. I feel it's too stiff and doesn't flow... But I'll try and work on it a bit more and see if I get the results I want.

Cat - that's a cool idea! I'd not thought of doing that

Ladypinwheel - she looks great the hair sounds like it could be polypropylene or another fibre rather than nylon
