I've been struggling to find out as well. I didn't get a lick of interest when I tried to sell my entire Pullip collection!
Maybe it has to do with international shipping? I dunno :(

Pony Corral / Potential bad news about Basic Fun!

https://toybook.com/basic-fun-files-for-chapter-11-bankruptcy-protection/

Quote
Basic Fun! filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection today in a move that it’s calling a “strategic action to significantly strengthen its financial structure and position the company for future success.”

The company known for its extensive assortment of licensed products including Care Bears, Littlest Pet Shop, Lite-Brite, and Tonka, revealed that it, alongside “certain affiliated entities,” filed its case in the District of Delaware this morning. The filing involves Basic Fun Holdco, LLC, Basic Fun, Inc., TBDUM, LLC, TGS Acquisition, and K’NEX UK Limited.

Basic Fun! seeks approval of $50 million in debtor-in-possession (DIP) financing from affiliates of Great Rock Capital, as well as a $15 million subordinate facility to be provided by RBC and the company’s founders, Jay Foreman and John MacDonald. The move comes following years of toy industry turmoil, and the company believes that the financing, once approved, will allow it to continue the normal operation of its business through restructuring proceedings.

“Since the demise of our industry’s largest toy retailer Toys ‘R’ Us in 2018, through the tumult of the trade wars with China in 2019, COVID-19 in 2020 through 2021, the travails of the supply chain crisis in 2022, inventory overstocks in 2023, and consumer slowdown in the early part of 2024, our industry and Basic Fun have been through a gauntlet of challenges,” says Jay Foreman, Basic Fun’s CEO and majority shareholder. “We intend to use the restructuring process to put those challenges in the rear-view mirror, enabling us to secure a successful future and position us for growth and value creation.”

At press time, Basic Fun! expects to continue to purchase and sell inventory and to support its licensing, retail, and vendor partners following its financing approval. The company says it plans to present a “comprehensive restructuring plan” an an effort to “emerge from the court-supervised process quickly and effectively.”

Thank you for the fast response!
This is the step that is stuck on:

"I received this from MLPArena: "Your account has been activated manually by the admin and you can now login and post."
I forgot my password so they sent me a link-which I clicked on- to put in a new password.
I typed in my new chosen password in both spaces.
I clicked "Save"
I received this: Error has occured! Invalid Activation Code.
I didn't receive an Activation Code. What Activation Code?"

I didnt know what to tell her to do because I signed up so long ago I forgot if there even was an activation code at all.

Oh dear, this is two different things. I've greenlit the account but they have then forgotten the sign in and are requesting a enw one which has confused it.
Please get them to email [email protected] for me to manually rest. Thanks!

For anyone in New Zealand, Farmers has the second wave of Basic Fun 40th anniversary plush ponies, Medley, Twilight and Applejack in store even though the website shows the first wave. They also have the wave of earth ponies with Posey and Cherries Jubilee if you have missed them in other stores.

omg  :dropjaw: thank you  so much for sharing the great news and I see they have a buy 1 get 1 half price  now hopefully they are in the Christchurch stores, where in NZ did you spot them? edited. husband just picked them up while on an errand on his lunch break at Westfield
I'm glad you were able to find them.

I'll pop in to the local one here, its been very strange as Farmers has stopped selling ponies altogether!

I wanna know the story behind Trojan Sunny. Like they made a regular Brighthouse playset, but it was too boring? So they decided to dissect Sunny and that's what made kids go "woohoo yeah yippee Mom please buy this"??? Do you think when this is on shelves in-store, kids are gonna be wowed? Is the thought of having a giant clunky Sunny really that exciting to have? A giant Sunny where if you break her neck and cut her head open, there's a bedroom for Pipp there?

Lots of moving parts in this one, how much you wanna bet parents are gonna complain about how easily it breaks despite the ONE HUNDRED DOLLAR price point?

On one hand, I really like it. I love the concept of a regular, normal house for ponies to live in. This delivers on that. On the other, it's disturbing and weird. Like, funny, but WHY. Why would you design this? Whose idea?? A regular Crystal Brighthouse would've been gorgeous, whose idea was it to make a Trojan Sunny instead???????

Oh and um. Another unnecessary slide tacked onto the playset. G4 and G5 love their unnecessary slides and oversized staircases, don't they...

And that's $100 USD. Lord knows what they would charge in NZD.

I have Covid. Again!
My coworker saw a client on Wednesday who kept coughing, unmasked. By Friday my co-worker was feeling funny and he went home early. By Monday morning I was sick with Covid again.
>_<
