I liked that the characters seemed more original and well-developed (from G3 I've only seen the Rarity/princess thing, which I didn't enjoy as much) The songs were also catchy and original, and finally I understand the whole ponies in socks thing! Maybe I just like green ponies? IDK, but I recommend you pour yourself a big cider or hot chocolate with extra marshmallows and give it a shot.

Yeah I definitely found the movie a-lot more interesting than the majority of G3 ones, and I was even talking to my sister about how Minty's like the only G3 pony up until that point that isn't obsessed with what her cutie mark is

It really is sweet. Somehow I forgot to rewatch it this Christmas. I guess I do have to be in just the right mood to watch G3 and this holiday was a little crazy for me.

I still have my squeezable Minty plush that sings "rainbow colored lights glowing bright on minty nights, and a bow on every dooooor... that's what I love about Christmas! Have a very Minty Christmas this year!" I've always been rather bummerized about how G4 Ponyville doesn't seem to have her in it.

I am a huge sucker for Christmas specials, so a very minty Christmas is for me, one of the best things hasbro shot out in G3. Also, socks!

Way back when I noticed that the official site had short episodes you could play online and, being the incurable techie that I am, managed to download the actual video files. They've all resided on my hard drive for years now.

And count me in as one of the VMC's biggest fans. It was the first MLP movie I ever bought and worth every penny.

Some are great, like this one, Come back Lily Lightly and Runaway Rainbow, some are neither good or bad, and others are simply so girly and ridiculous that they become good, like Positively Pink, Princess Promenade and Ladybug Jamboree.It's the first time i saw Hasbro failing a toy-selling episode though, with the two winged ponies in Two for the Sky saying at the end that they don't really need their gimmick (their giant wings).Try selling a toy of a character that says herself that her gimmick is useless and that she's better without it.
