Alright so. The person who shot Baby Firefly up to $2,000 is also the person who's in the lead on Sweet Scoops and Yum Yum. They're the highest bidder on 23 of these ponies total and if that's not extremely sketchy, I don't know what is. I did the math and they'd owe $5,104.17 to the seller if they won them all at the current prices, before shipping of course. They've either gotta be a non paying bidder, or they're bidding purely for the sake of raising the prices.

I hope this doesn’t turn bad. Everyone was so excited to see what looks like a US G1 complete collection MOC/MIB but I do find it suspicious that one person would be the higgest bidder on that many of the auctions. The bidding on Baby Firefly doesn’t make sense. The plastic is yellowed and the piece of tape at the back of the box is barely holding the box closed.  I know that’s possible with toys that are that old but I still find it hard to believe anyone would be willing to pay $2000 for a MIB Baby Firefly in that condition. Also the bids jumped high amounts not in smaller increments like I would expect in a bidding war.

Wow!  This is so crazy.  Very much like actual dreams I’ve had except I always wake up before actually getting to posses the ponies.   I was hoping that I might get to snag a couple of these for decent prices with the market basically being flooded at the moment.  But the Baby Firefly thing is concerning :/  and I just looked and it looks like that bidder only has 1 feedback.  Very scetchy....

I actually messaged them on eBay and informed them about our suspicions, they responded with the fact someone had informed them earlier of the "trickster" so they're gonna change the rules next pony batch.

I'm kind of teary eyed and has goosebumps allover. This is a find one dreams of. I wish I had the funds to bid on these (heck now I wish I had en ebay account). I hope the lucky winners take good care of the ponies.

Also MIP ponies via the GSP is risky anyway. I think it'd have to be a lower price for me to risk it.

What is the Global shipping programme and why is it risky?

/Swedish collector being out of the loop for a looong time ;-)

In short, the seller pays ebay to do the sending to your country via their agent - the risks are:

1*  very expensive for you as a buyer (you pay extra shipping for the agent service PLUS import duties)
2*  the packing agents see something in a box (MIB) and de-box the item so it fits in their packing boxes.
3*  Or they bend your items in such a way that they are no longer considered mint.  >_< >_< >_<

so, not a popular shipping choice for those worried about the quality of the care of their purchases!

I messaged the seller about GSP and they said the next batch won’t be sold via GSP. I also asked if I won an auction and pay can they just NOT send it through GSP and they said yes.

If GSP is bad, is there an alternative?

Wow, just imagine if a collector HAD bought this container - how happy would that person be right now this minute? Myself as a random example... it's sad that the collection is being split up, but at the prices the ponies appear to be going for we can probably guarantee that they are going into collector hands. Which is something at least.

Yes just normal international shipping.
