I saw the Rarity and Fluttershy ones you're talking about at the various Walmarts in my area this week.  Keep looking, they're out there.

Smyths here on the welsh borders has a lot of GOH still. It also has the purses and the new carded brushables for 4.5 which is why I am posting. I've seen the purses and some of the dress up ones like those posted above in Entertainer, but this is the first time I saw Luna, Pinkie and Rarity on card. I really think they look weird, especially alongside the wave 2 pearlies who are quite pretty. Oh well.

Popped into Asda (UK) yesterday -
Easter is on the way and they are selling the giant kinder egg toys / eggs featuring MLP/Equestria Girls -
the giant toy pods are about two to three times higher than the regular ones,
limited edition, one box for a fiver.

I thought wave 1 of the Twisty Styles was Pinkie, AJ, and Rarity but I've only seen the first 2 in stores. The same with the fashion ones that were supposed to be TS,RD, and Flutters but I've never seen a Flutters just the other 2.

I think MLP is just selling really well lately. I noticed that my Target can hardly keep pony stuffs in stock.

Dunno if this is news or not but Walgreens seems to have "new" stuff.  Adagio Dazzle EG Mini was there (I got her), they had Nightmare Night blind bags (with no window!) and they have the Preztel wave of pearly "G4s"

Sainsburys UK now have the new g4.5 ponies:
Rarity and Pinkie Pie were the only ones I saw on the shelf (box nearly empty so unsure if other characters were sold there too)

My fred Myers is starting to stock the new mold ponies. So far they have a somewhat empty space to put more out but they have the Rarity playset, Cadance & Shining set, the Twi and AJ sleepover set and the Fluttershy & Celestia set. was kinda tempted to get the last one, I will eventually Gonna wait to see if it goes on sale though.
I did however find the single Pinkie, Twilight and Lyra at Walmart, I had to get Lyra as I collect her and was waiting for that <3

Popped into Ross on a whim this morning and they had Shimmer Wings Celestia and Twilight!  People had posted months ago that they found them at Ross and they just now showed up here.  They also had a poseable Fluttershy set and a poseable Cheerilee set and the Mrs. Cake and Pink Baby Whose Name Escapes Me set.

Popped into Ross on a whim this morning and they had Shimmer Wings Celestia and Twilight!  People had posted months ago that they found them at Ross and they just now showed up here.  They also had a poseable Fluttershy set and a poseable Cheerilee set and the Mrs. Cake and Pink Baby Whose Name Escapes Me set.

woo!  did they just have one of each of them? or more stock?

I only saw one of each but there was a salesgirl putting more toys out so there might be more.  There was more than one of the Mrs. Cake set.

G4.5 at Sainsburys (UK) -
I bought Pinkie, Rarity and the lovely Lyra (all for my daughter) - that was all that they had there, though... 
I still think that their new design is a bit strange, but they do have a look of glee and happiness with their open-mouthed smiles!
