One of my new year missions (not resolutions) is to pick up my Chinese studying again, and also master reading Hangeul.

Some mandarin sentences are tongue twisters though. It's fun to say them

Younger birb has lost weight!! Measuring the food seems to be the best way of doing this, and although she wouldn't get in the carrier willingly and I had to towel her, and although she screamed blue murder at the vet and it was pouring with rain when we walked back from last bus (two buses there, two buses back), she is in excellent condition!

She's out of the carrier, sitting on top of the cage warming up and calming down, quite an adventure!

My mom gave me a huge check since there was so much in her bank account I'm thinking of getting a dining table and I can get the convection oven for my polymer clay

My cousin works for an auto shop and he was able to replace an air filter for me today in about 5 minutes.

Moreso yesterday, but I got my tax return done and filed! No real refund, though, but I'm just glad to get it done so early.

And after the longest time getting ghosted on card sales, I had three sales and a potential fourth sale all within a week!

  I completely forgot to tell you that my uncle has been back home from the hospital a few days ago and is doing much better! He doesn't need supplemental oxygen anymore, he can do without as long as he takes it easy. Yesterday, he even went to a nearby pharmacy alone with the help of his rollator. He is really happy when he can sleep in his own bed, make his own coffee and... smoke cigarettes again.
My mom and he have been calling each other daily now. The uncle is able to talk even almost an hour long calls, just like before. His son and his family live very close by and they help with everything. Uncle said he feels like he is in a hotel, he doesn't have to do anything.

My cat, Ozzy, comes to my lap to sleep in the evening when I watch TV.  It has done so a few times now. Ozzy comes when he wants to come. Neither of my cats are lap cats.   Hector shows his love in different ways.

I'm glad your uncle is doing better!

I'm smiling because I feel pretty good for the second day in a row Being back on my medicine makes a huge difference. Plus I got some shots at the doctor yesterday that have lessened my pain and inflammation.

Last night when I got home I played and cuddled Aster. She came running to me when I got in and called her :lovely:

I already got my tax return.  I've found if you file early you get your return faster because they're not backed up yet.
