Where to look?
« on: March 10, 2012, 05:44:40 AM »
Hey peeps
Only just started getting into ponies but getting into in a big way! My first collecting obsession are the comic con, art ponies (still getting used to the terminology), have found a fair few on the sale sections on here but wondered for certain ponies are the following hard to get hold of and where can I look for them more?

Underwater pony and blue art pony from art series? Dandelion convention pony.

I try searching ebay and dont believe there are any on there at the moment but dont trust my searching skills, are there other places to try?

Also for the convention this year and the release ponies this year - I dont think I will be attending but is there a way for me to ask someone to purchase for me etc - how do you peeps go about it? (Do they hold the same ponies in US and UK - I literally know nothing!)

Shouldve added have put wanted addy as well x

Here or ebay are probably the best places. The Fair/PonyCon ponies I think are hardest to find as they go straight into the hands of serious collectors, the SDCC ponies next but the Art Ponies I think were sold in specialist/collectable toy stores so might be easier to find (though I don't think they were sold here) so shipping will be the biggest pain.

The SDCC ponies are usually sold through the Hasbro website after Comic Con is finished (but they only ship in the US, *shakes fist*, but there are some lovely Arena members who can help with that).

The Fair ponies are usually available direct from the Fair/PonyCon organisers. I think the last time the (US) Fair and the (UK) PonyCon have had different ponies was in 2008. when it was the same design in different colours.

With Fairs usually there is a person or two who will help people who dont make it out so you are best to track down a "fair buddy"

However, both the US and UK fairs tend to a have a little stock left over for sale on line...BUT that's only if they don't shift everything at the fair so if something sells out you wont get a chance online...a bit of a gamble
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
Loa is my love god!

Crys a little!  Just tried to order underwater pony to see what the shipping would be like but it wont post to UK? Am I just not doing it right? Have contacted seller to see if can help..
