Title: Oxyxlean and pony hair
Post by: Artemesia's Garden on August 12, 2019, 01:37:02 PM
Can you help to remind me please... Did we decide that oxyclean damages nylon pony hair, or was it just the bright colours?

Huh, I wasn't aware that there was such an issue with oxyclean. I've given many a pony a oxyclean bath, and nothing bad has ever happened to their hair, but then again I always wash their manes and tails with shampoo and conditioner immediately afterwards. As an aside, I can't really decide if oxyclean does actually brighten the colours of their vinyl bodies, or if it's just my imagination  :lookround:

I've found that on some hair it's fine and others it dries it out.

I find it dries pony hair out, but that's an easy fix if you just use conditioner afterwards. It's definitely the best thing for removing ingrained dirt.  :)

Thanks for mentioning that, I'll try to avoid tinsel and oxyclean!
