Pony Corral / Re: Acetone on ponies -yay or nay?
« on: August 08, 2023, 12:35:51 PM »
I should have clarified, Acetone is indeed paint stripper and should be used to remove paint marks only (care needs to be taken around symbols), it wont remove mold and embedded stains.

I can also be used for dissolving glue on flocked ponies

I have never had a problem with acetone. It was the zit cream that's bad, I forgot the name of the active ingredient that cause damage in it

At this point, most people will pay within 24 hours. I'd probably give them an additional day but I would not expect them to pay at this point especially without contact.

Totally agree agree with this, any genuine bidder would message if they were going to pay late with whatever reason maybe going on.

I personally only allow 48 hours for payment before assuming the person is a  in paying bidder

MLP Nirvana / Re: Brazil (Estrela) Prototypes?

It's a strange time the seller looks to have what I believe is a legit blue sprinkles  but sold one that is confirmed by buyer to be dyed so it seems she is selling 'real' protos and 'fake' ones.

I personally think at least the blue one is dyed due to the blotchyness in the second to last photo.... it could be poor lighting but I am not 100 % convinced they are legit

Also the bodies closely match the hair colour... I think if you dyed bluebelle blue you would get that green colour for the hair and cotton candy a magenta you could get that pinky hair. I have dyed some ponies before and the hair always comes out different to the body

The white of the eye normally wont take dye hence why the eyes are still white.

Furthermore I haven't seen estrela use those hair colours before, I get that prototypes can be anything but they all tend to have hair colours which can be matched to earlier or later lines.

Anyhow aside from that I hope I am wrong, it's always exciting when a new pony pops up

Pony Corral / Re: Keeping potted plants near ponies?
« on: January 21, 2023, 01:03:46 AM »
I have a few ponies amongst plants, the ponies are totally fine, I just have to dust them down every so often just as I would with everything else.
The only thing I would be wary about is flowers dropping pollen

I agree with so many of these merriweather, sunbeam, beach ball and cloud dreamer all certainly get my vote as underrated but my favorite from the set. I also  really like swirly whirled but dont know how popular she really is and parasol

MLP Nirvana / Re: PC: Time to Sell the Windys

The 2 unknown cotton candys as well as cherries jubilee are Venezuelan ponies :)

The grey butterfly one to me looks like her symbols have been painted on, so I dont think she is original. I could totally be wrong. Do you remember who you brought her from or what country she came from?

wow what an amazing collection, you will have many people interested!

Things on ebay have been selling for loads these days however fixed prices do well too when its expensive ponies as most will properly as for a payment plan (depending on prices).

Colombian have dried up lately and often sell for more than SA, $300 tends to be the starting price for one in poorish condition (adults that is)

SA have come down in price as lots have popped up lately they sell for around $1000 -2000 these days

Greek windys price is around $200

The french ladies $1000 odd each

I am such a ribbon fan, I generally pay $1 or so per ribbon but for special ribbons they can be anywhere from $5 - 10 each (like flutter ribbons, wingers  or anything easily identifiable).

The barrette is around $10 -15
